I'm so disappointed in this town all spring break and today you can't use the public bathrooms on the boardwalk or the park at the point.. I pay taxs and pay for a town sticker every year! Why can't my tree year old or I use the public bathrooms at our parks, just one more reason to leave this gay ass town! I'm sure someone still gets a paycheck to keep this town running...waste

Perhaps you could visit or call Town Hall and share your concern vs using media?

Hey Greg - My guess is that River Monkeys DOES like the town, and therefore is disappointed when the restrooms are closed for no apparent reason other than the laziness of whoever was supposed to open them. Who are you, Greg, to tell anyone that they should move? Colonial Beach would be a far better town if there were more "River Monkeys" and fewer "Gregs".

Well if I pay taxes here I must live here. I think it s sad that all of our children are out of school here on our twin of colonial beach and we can't use the rest rooms while we are enjoying our town! I guess that's way to much to ask for.. It's no wonder so many people are upset about the twin we live in.. Call me crazy.. This twin has so much beauty!! Even people coming to visit our town buy thing here to support out town business but can't enjoy our beaches or parks cause they can't hold it for ever..just voicing my frustrations here!

If Jean still worked there, you could ask her "Why are the bathrooms closed?".......... See how far that would get you.

I hope this was sarcasm as Greg's post is a bit extreme. The whole "come here, been here" thing is getting a bit old. People like Greg allow your tax dollars get wasted by permitting the city to close such things as public bathrooms you pay for to be open and whatnot by not speaking to its need.

To tell someone to "move" because the city gov't isn't living up to its requirements, is ignorant an really, wasteful. If it weren't for people like the OP, commonly overlooked public services would cease to operate and your tax money would end up in someone's pocket or tied up in some other town agenda.

It was indeed sarcasm. The minute a "come here" voices a complaint or makes a suggestion, they are immediately and without fail told "if you don't like it, then leave." As I implied, genius. This attitude and mentality are extremely simple, counter-productive, and dismissive. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you wrote in response!

I think that your response didn't come across to some as sarcasm according to the little "judged" icons. Just saying.....

I'm pretty sure they think you have agreed wi Greg.

Walked along the beach front this weekend. As luck would have it, needed to use the facilities. Rest rooms were open and clean. Another problem solved!
