This Senate is the worst I can remember..I expect nothing from them..they should not be paid because they have done nothing to earn a check.. let these rich bastards cope like the rest of us until they get back to work.

This will go nowhere along with everything else on the State's agenda because no one is going to show up for Patterson's special session, even his own party line Democrats. Nice work from our fine state representatives. VOTE THEM ALL OUT OF OFFICE!!

The budget shortfall is an emergency and the highly paid politicians are highly paid to step up and handle emergencies, otherwise we could pay them a lot less. The gay maraige is NOT an emergency and should be handled like other business.

Since it doesn't effect your family, you see no worth in it. Do you believe that people with no children should be able to opt out of school taxes? It doesn't effect their families.

NON ELECTED OR SUBSTITUTE GOVERNOR PATERSON IS BLIND TO THE VIEWS OF NYS VOTERS. JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE OF MAINE, THE MAJORITY OF NYS DO NOT WANT GAY MARRIAGE, THATS WHY THEY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THE PEOPLE VOTE ON THIS ISSUE. GAY GROUPS HAVE LINED MR. PATERSON'S POCKETS WITH A LOT OF MONEY, SO ONCE AGAIN, HE IS MAKING ANOTHER BAD DECISION TO SUPPORT THIS ISSUE. WORST GOVERNOR IN USA HISTORY.

Ah but it will becuase now schools will be forced to adopt class programs that include gay marriage. This is something that would be taught to my children and grandchildren. So yes it does effect my family very seriously. And we all know we can't opt out of school taxes so your point is moot

You people are so off base. Same sex marriage will not be taught at schools. Marriage in general is not even taught at schools. And you know what, so called normal parents have gay and trans children whether they like it or not. It's up to you to accept your children as they are and not try to make them into something you want them to be.

Funny I just went to my grandsons Kindergarten open house and they talk about mommy and daddy and being married and afamily there alot. Normal parent don't give birth by chance to gay and trans children. These children are born like you and I and Choose to take a different path to being gay or lesbian. Thus the term Alternative lifestyle. As is deviating from the norm

Homosexuality is not a sin. And, Jesus was just fine with it. He spoke quite highly of the eunuchs. Eunuchs born that wasy would include homosexuals. He was also quite impressed with the Roman Centurion and his younger servant/lover.

And, then there is David and Jonathan in the OT. David was a "man of G-d's own heart."

what are you so afraid of? just what on earth are you so; so afraid of? it is simply people. take the sex out of it. 2 people. that is it. stop making it anything else out if this if it will ease that cobweb out of your narrow mind and allow some light into the far reaches of thought process.

are you saying my child is not a valid person because of who she is? are you saying she should be hidden because of genetics? being gay is NOT a choice. why would anyone choose to be ridiculed, bullied, ostracized, etc? why would anyone choose to have such negative connotations? why would anyone choose to have no chance of marriage? wow. ignorance is awesome.

heterosexual couples show up in stories in the schools, so should gay couples.

what are you so afraid of?

i would be afraid of ignorance, not children being aware there are more than just heterosexual people in the world.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Gemini

You're viewing the world from a wonderfully optimistic perspective today, which makes you feel good. However, it's important that you keep your feet on the ground and don't allow yourself to be carried away by wishful thinking or unrealistic expectations. These will lead you in the wrong direction and you'll be bitterly disappointed when reality intrudes on your lovely dreams.
