Obviously you've never had a 3 or 4 y/o child. They are escape artists.
Oh, and just where was her FATHER??????????

so sad

I have a 15 year old two 10 year olds, a 7 year old and a Six year old and just this year I have strarted letting the youngest two go play out side with out me. We have a pool in our yard so i can not imagine them being 3 and 4 and playing outside with out an adult.. But kids do get out and they are very quick to get into something because kids have inquireing minds.

Neglect!!!!!!!!! Why on earth were these children allowed to take off down the street by themselves anyways? It's sad that the little girl that saw her sister fall into the "puddle" will carry that memory with her for the rest of her life all at the stupidity and laziness of their mother!

The notorious blame game. I guess it's just the normal human response when there really is nothing to be said.

mmm

From what I have read the mother allowed them to go out and play. What kind of mother lets a 3 & 4 year old leave for over an hour to play? From what the article says she must not have even checked on them.

Tragic

A responsible mother would never allow a 3 and 4 year old outside alone....to play. Yes, the notorious blame game, but this isn't a game, this is real and it happen because of the mother's neglect. She will have to live with it, for the rest of her life.

For every action, there is a reaction-and the same for a lack of both. The mother undoubtedly knows the blame and will and should feel the guilt for the remainder of her days. So, let's all stop commenting the same thing on this story and take some time to pray for that family and to pray that this could be a lesson learned for others. Life can vanish in an instant, so let's cherish it while we live it.....

I dont know what the hell is wrong with the parents of todays generation. I was never allowed to play outside alone at 3 yrs old without supervision.Irresponsible parents need to be blamed.where in the hell is their common sense? people like this should be fixed so they can't have any more children, seeing as how they cant take care of the ones they got!!Im sure she feels horrible,i feel bad for her but blame has to go to the mother on this one.
