Is it just me or does anyone else feel like these people are..um..fake? Now they want a million dollars to renovate a hotel for HUD housing? They want to be slumlords? No way is Branson going to approve a hotel for the homeless. And..on your right you will see the beautiful Table Rock Lake and on your left, our newest Hotel for the Homeless..hehe I realize that they are doing good work in providing meals for the less fortunate, but my question is what are they getting out of it? If anyone knows this family, they know that eventually it will come down to how they can profit and benefit from it and it sounds to me like they have it already figured out. Slumlords. I think maybe the Queen Bee needs to stop doing the fake and bake tanning and donate the money she saves to a couple more sandwiches. Seriously, who has that type of tan in December?

I work in Branson and didn't hear of a homeless hotel here, but we do fishes and loves to feed those laid off and homeless during the winter and we do it because it feels good to help people that are hungry.Last year they only did it Mon-Fri and now it will be happening on the weekends too. If any other businesses out there are willing to give to the lesser fortunate please join us at fishes & Loaves, we have several dates open, you can email sue at shead@cofo.edu

manufacturing jobs jobs that would last year round
then maybe we won't have so many homeless need meals and live in motels build some low income apartments instead of time share condos turn some of those rmpty condos in to low income housing
lets get real help these people that get layed off in the winter by bring in year round employment

To "Skeptic" who is criticizing Jesus Was Homeless, you should be ashamed of yourself! I happen to know the couple who started this and it had nothing to do with what they could gain. We saw God literally get a hold of a man and begin transforming from the inside out. Before Jesus Was Homeless was known in the community this couple fixed meals in their own home, used money out of their own pocket (and still do) take time out of their day (which consists of a full day at work first) and then use their own gas, etc. to reach out to people, families that have just had it hard. No glory, no praise, they began doing it because they had a burden. Every Sat. night he and his wife would take seperate vehicles and pick up these individuals at the hotels and drive them to Church Army at First Baptist Church where they could attend service not feeling like outcasts. This couple opens their home to these families hit with hard times and shares meals in their home playing WII, laughing, and making these people feel like they are not outcasts. He purchased a van with his own money so that they could all travel together to further relationship.
It's a pity you look at an individual for who they were, not realizing that God can truly change a life. In this case He truly has. I can honestly say that as a Follower of Christ I have truly witnessed a miracle right before my eyes in seeing what God is doing in and through the lives of Brian and Amy and I am proud to be their friends. For all of you who doubt and judge, what are you doing for those less fortunate???? Perhaps your too busy caught up in selfishness and arrogant lives you can't see the need before you. I'd rather have 100 Brian and Amy's in this community than attitudes like yours. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

Time will tell, won't it?

And as far as "judging" people, I believe that you have just done that as well.

Another Ozarks hypocritic Christian.

I can't wait to see them on TV crying for money!

You must be one miserable human being to attack individuals for doing what they can. Bet you didn't know that a few years ago when they help put on a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless at the Boys and Girls Club they went out and bought tons of blankets, gloves, socks, etc. for people to take before leaving. ALL that money came from their own pocket, but you don't care to hear that. You just want to believe the worst in people. Who knows, you probably spread some rumor like they robbed a bank to do that. Do us all a favor and find something more constructive to do than tear people down. We teach our kids that when people attack others and criticize looks, etc. they are actually revealing deep seeded hurts in themselves. By bringing negative out in others it makes them feel better about themselves. It's unfortunate that you don't realize what a sad pathetic example of an adult this is. Do the world a favor and find something constructive to do.
Oh, one last thing. To answer your question, one has a full time job and the other has a seasonal job. Wow, you got me. And the first van was purchased by them. How sad to be you.

I'm just calling it like it is.

I'm sure that they probably are doing good for the homeless.(I mean, c'mon, they let them play their wii so they can't be all bad, right?) I am questioning their intent. But now of course I am a sad pathetic rumor spreading deep seeded hurt individual. Love it!

I appreciate all of the lovely Christian comments that you have to share. I expected no less.

I wasn't trying to "get you" but if you are going to defend them, at least get your facts straight.
What season exactly is that job? When they start drawing salaries for their "calling", think of me. I'm sure it will be justified by you even then.

Gotta go do the world a favor and find something constructive to do now.

Don't drink the Kool-Aid!

Actually Jesus was a beggar and a horse thief who was rightly executed according to his teachings. If you read the bible at all this is exactly what it says too. That bastard got what he deserved as should the low life's that don't do anything now. I pay more in taxes than what they need to live for a another year. Can you say welcome to the USSA.

I have a great life!

Just one more thing that you are misinformed on. Of course, you don't really know me anyway so I'm going to assume that hypocritical know it all attitude is a charming trait of yours and just say that I understand why you all are friends.

And all the good deeds in the world by them in the public eye will not make up for the way they treat others when noone is looking.

Now go away. Or, what the heck, go ahead and post again how miserable and terrible I am. It cracks me up!
