Murder case headed to grand jury

The case against two Iaeger men charged in connection with the homicide of the long-time chairman of the McDowell County Democratic Party was bound over Friday to the county's next grand jury session.

i think tommy owens is innocent he went to court last week and they put the trial off until march 2nd. because of lacking discovery if there was no evidence then there will be none now don't you think?

I agree that there is more to the case and there is someone out there with the information. This wonderful man was brutally murdered in his own home. He was a politically powerful man and a man that spent 40 years of his life healing the community....and this is the way he was repaid. It is a shame that more people have not come forward to put an end to this injustice.

paul i agree with you 100 percent..yea poor ole tommy is innocent..they just lock innocent people up all the time, yea right..the next thing you know they have a petition in every store from bradshaw to panther wanting people to sign saying what a great citizen tommy was..tommy is right were he need to be..maybe he wont get a chance to kill and burn a poor disabled man again..

Crystal, Who are you trying to fool? You know Tommy is a criminal and he is in jail right now because he tied up a senior citizen with duck tape and brutally beat him. And by the way, wasn't Sharon Hall his accomplice in that crime? I think so. If Tommy would beat an elderly man in Davy, he certainly would kill a helpless doctor in Iaeger. Tommy crossed the line between being a human and being a devil long ago. His crimes finally caught up with him and he is paying that price right now.
