Don't think so, if it's the CP who used to work there that you're talking bout. But I do hear for sure that Harold MacBride and Cecil-Got-His-Nose up-Ray's butt Patterson are going to run. Another thing, anybody at all would be better than what we got now, a Nozzle Nose Nothing and Lying Ray. What an evil joke they are to the people.

I believe most every office this election cycle will be contested. However, I most certainly beleive the race for the commissioner seat will be most interesting.

I'll say nothing of either the mentioned possible candidates specfically, as I know them both- even if only slightly. Both have been very kind to me. Cecil I've known my whole life.

In the most general of terms, the ideal candidate must be beholden to no political faction, that is to say they must be -more- than a glorified stand-in clone for an already sitting commissioner. This is in no way a reflection of an opinion regarding either mentioned person. It just to say we need a balanced commission- not a strengthening of the majority or an empowering of the other. What we need is an indepedent mind. Otherwise, the politics of retribution are likely to continue forever. Without an independent, no matter who wins, we get the same result. Nothing.

Well you sure wont be voting for Cecil. Because a blind man could see were and who he is aligned withg and notto mention the evil that they have done to so many in such a short period of time, Cecil really surprised me, he has too much mouth for me. He thinks he can threaten everyone and get his way, kinda like the rest he hangs with down at the courthouse. So i will VOTE MCBRIDE 4 SURE.

I totally agree. Cecil looks like he needs a bath and he has a bad attitude to match. He is definitely bad news. He has aligned himself with Nozzle Nose and Lying Ray and that will hurt him for sure. He has never had an original thot in his brain. He speaks Ray and Judy Speak and is all about spite, like his teachers. Better not go there.

you are such a joke. why do you try to dazzle everyone with verbage that no person would possibly use in a normal conversation. we all know you think that you are super smart and such a great possible pick for a public office, but again your mouth just lets us all know that you are not mature enough to hold any office in our county. try growing up first and then get involved in politics. you are so annoying !!!

cecil couldnt do his previous jobs much less run the county. again him and r seay .......... give me a break. i dont even know harold that well but if these two are his competition, it will be a shew in..........

If today were election day, and all votes but mine had been cast, and the election between these two men was at that time exactly tied: I would not be overjoyed to vote for either one. I fear very much that Cecil, if elected, will be a surrogate of Judy and continue the majority over Gordon Lambert with Ray Bailey. Conversely, I believe that Harold McBride will create a new majority with Gordon Lambert and use their new formed power to exact revenge on Ray Bailey and his supporters.

Quite frankly, most literally, I am a member of neither side. Also, after this post I am sure to be considered an enemy of both sides. I don't care. My only concern is seeing that the best is done for McDowell County. The honest truth, both of these men would be hard pressed at this point to convince me of the need to cast my vote for either one of them.

Keep in mind, in my opinion, both of these are fine men. I have nothing against either of them personally. I just cannot in good conscience cast a vote for more of the same- which I believe is on the ballot twice.

It is not my intention to defame. I have stated my opinion truly on a purely political matter- likely to my detriment.

I am an idealist, yes. However, I do not say the things I do for any notion of self gain. Insult me all you want. It doesn't benefit anyone and it certainly doesn't bother me. I want to see good done for my home, even if I must be insulted and degraded for wanting so.

Mr Seay i understand your posotion but one things for sure Mcbride will be noone's puppet ask RAY. Harold will work for whats best for the county period. And will not be led by the nose. So again i say my vote will be 4 MCBRIDE.

That's the problem with this county. We don't need to elect people such as Ray Bailey or Harold McBride to any public office. They're priorities as businessmen is money and how to get more of it. What we need is for average working men and women interested in the politics of this county.

I'm for McBride all the way, not for CP. Commissioner Ray Bailey cheated Workers Comp out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and got away from it. You try doing that and see what happens to you. If you doubt he didn't pay Worker's Comp, check the records at the courthouse in Welch. Let's look at what Lying Ray & Nozzle Nose have done so far: Axed 2 very good commission employees who didn't support Lying Ray in the election, cut the budgets of Prosecutor Sid Bell, County Clerk Don Hicks and Circuit Clerk Mike Brook because those 3 elected officials didn't support Lying Ray in the election. They cut those 3 offices even though county revenue was up. How's that for the "fair, open and honest government" they talk about? But wait, there's more. Remember they fired 2 competent, good employees and then turned around and created a job for Frances Hale, wife of their infamous big campaigner Barry Hale. Frances was hired as Purchasing Director when the county already had one assistant purchasing director who was and is not busy because there is not enough work to keep her busy. They hired another big Northfork campaigner Benny Capparelli and they replaced County Administrator with Your Delegate Not on Duty, do-nothing Cliff Moore.(Moore, by the way, is secretly trying to get Lying Ray and Nozzle Nose to hire him an administrative assistant, so he, no doubt, can stay out of the office even more.) In the process of all those bad moves, Nozzle Nose and Lying Ray removed Prosecutor Bell from being the county attorney, a position he did for free because it is a part of his duties as an elected official. Remember: Prosecutor Bell represented the Commission for free, but they hate him, so they replaced him with kooky Kendrick King and pay King $36,000 a year to do the job that Prosecutor Bell was already doing for free. Now, they're fixing to hire a county Recreation Director and you can be sure that he/she will be another one of their big campaigners. As an added bonus to punish those who did not support them, Lying Ray and Nozzle Nose Judy took away Prosecutor Sid Bell's old clunker of a vehicle and also took away the 911 Deputy Director's vehicle. To make the take aways look good, lying Ray turned in his cell phone, but then a few days later turned around and took it back. How's that for "fair, open and honest government"? Too, let's not forget that Nozzle Nose's daughter, was fired from the correctional facility for fooling around with a prisoner and Old Nozzle Nose got very angry because Commissioner Lambert and former Commish Urps wouldn't sweep it under the rug and cover it up, even though that would have been very illegal . Are you getting the picture? Where's all those super deluxe parks that Lying Ray promised? Guess we don't have them because he's too busy firing his non-supporters, creating jobs for his biggest campaigners and grinding a political ax. Nozzle Nose and Lying Ray are purely evil. They don't care about the county. All they care about is revenge. Now, they're going to run their butt buddy Cecil Patterson for the Commission with the hope of getting him in office so that they can have even more power and continue their evil. Nozzle Nose's husband Mike has bragged for months that Nozzle Nose will run against Don HIcks or for the soon to be vacated Circuit Clerk Seat. I hope old Nozzle Nose does run against Hicks because Hicks will destroy her at the polls. All he has to do is reveal her very dirty record. All of their dirty tricks will return to bite them. Just wait and see. Meanwhile, watch the dirty duo and weep because old Nozzle Nose and Lying Ray are taking our county more backward every day.

I am not at this time sold on either. I truly believe thatt which ever way the election, goes if these two are the only option, equals more or less the same result. McDowell County will be no better than it has ever been.

If one wins we will see a continuation of the current majority. If the other wins, power will just switch hands and what is currently being done to Gordon will be done to Ray. Either way, the people of McDowell County DO NOT benefit.
