I agree everyone involved deserves respect. In saying "ignorant and wicked comments" I meant the ones being made against the deceased and the family of James. Please be respectful of these people, this is an incredible tragedy and the facts are being twisted in the press. Press is meant to cause debate, not to supply the public with factual information.

I knew Stefan, and my heart hurts knowing what has happened. I recently moved away, and heard about this tragic news, and I lived close. If I was home I would reach out to his family and freinds, and attend his memorial. Stefan.....you are an angel now!, and will be so missed. see ya.

Lets get over it. It was an isolated crime that could have happened anywhere. I mean, the murder probably didn't even happen in Haddam. He just dumped the body there because his family owns the property there. This is still a great town and yes, things do happen. Let's move on. He surrendered which, in a sense, says he has a bit of character than these murderers in Hartford or New Haven who just shoot and run.
He has no character-go ahead and have a conversation--there is nothing ok with what he did-turned himself in or not..you are apparently part of the reason i have been told not to look at these stupid things online all you people should think before you make your opinions

I knew Stefan from high school. Just recently it was the one year anniversary of his passing and I figured I would post something just in case anyone that knew who Stefan was actually reads these postings. I think the most important thing to do is reach out to friends and family. My prayers go out to Stefan's family and friends and I know I will never forget him. God bless.

The last thing I want to say is to some of the people that commented on this... don't be ignorant and have some respect. If you want to complain about haddam living find a chat room.
