Can anyone give me some information about the use of corporal punishment/paddling in the Lauderdale County School District? I have read the parent/student handbook and it is very vauge. There also does not appear to be an opt out option for parents. If there is an opt out can school officials override a parents decision? Has anyone had their child paddled against their wishes?

When my kids were in Brooks School Dist. you had to go to the school and ask for the opt out form. They don't just give it to you.
