AEGIS is a horrible company. I'd rather serve people at McDonalds than work in this place. They treat their employees like garbage. If you're looking to turn in an application here please think twice!!!

i know someone that worked for sally mae prior to aegis and there is no comparison. aegis came to killeen with great fan fare "we will allow everone to keep their jobs" "we are going to hire 1,000 people" were quotes in the KDH, but they have sputtered and clacked along laying off people daily. things like that are not front page news, but it's real.

I personally work for the company currently and indeed the company has NO compassion whatsoever for their employees. They fire many people daily (I know because I see the e-mails daily) and there is absolutely NO appreciation for anybody. It is sad that a company that is owned by Indians is making a complete mockery of the people in the US

Now now slaves....the supposed angelic darling town of Killeen, TexASS is the number 7th happiest city to work in! We wouldn't want to prove the crooked city hall politicians, and their good old boys of CenTexTalk wrong now would we?

Just keeping it simply sarcastic!

I worked for an aerospace company which was a subsidiary of a Native Alaskan corporation. They were bums and worthless. Everyone signed up for their 401(k) plan and these thieves never deposited our money. Finally we had to get the Department of Labor involved.
Don't trust any native company. They are low-lifes.

I worked for Aegis and was in the first group to be fired in Jan 2012 and I find it funny how many comments say they didn't care about the employees and they were assholes. This was the best job I had (money wise)and the work was nowhere near hard. They had a lot of give-a-ways, monthly and weekly (I got a lot of Wal Mart gift cards), and for the folks that suffer from memory loss, they told us at orientation that it was a short term gig and that ppl would be let go when the client said to cut back.

I will admit they can be dicks when it comes to being late, leaving early, or having to miss due to emergencies but none of that information is not kept a secret.

What does anyone expect? If the company is losing money why would they keep employees? The bottom line rules in the business world. Always has always will.

Aegis does mass hires, then mass lay offs. Not the type of company ANYONE should be working for!

Aegis is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. I have worked for 3 fortune 100 companies. Aegis lies to its employees everyday, double speak is the only thing they know. They promise everything and deliver nothing. They do not care at all if you have sick children or if you are in the hospital, your fired, even with documentation. The is NO job security, you don't get to use your vacation till after a year, if your lucky enough to be there longer then 3 months, so they don't have to pay unemployment..This company is a total snake in the grass, sweat shop that has no ethics what so ever. I don't know how management sleeps at night. I would hate to be them on judgement day!! Yes it is that bad, Aegis needs to be investigated and exposed for the slave camp it really is.

this is true, but there is more to it then just what you think. The director will not or can not give you a straight answer even supervisors will say that. They will flat lie to your face even when the truth would be easier for them and the employees. They do not give a crap about your knowledge, background or previous job experience. I have witnessed them putting words in peoples months just to get them to say something so they can get them hired to meet the clients criteria so they get the clients money and boast they are one of the 3 biggest employer's in Killeen. So they hire people that are in no way shape or for qualified for the job and who they know they will get rid of in 3 month, but this allows them to defraud the client and the government officials too. Also you will never make over 13.50 a hour even as a supervisor. They will change your schedule at their whim even telling you the same day you come in at 0700 that they changed your shift to come in at 1000 and you have to go home and come back.

I started working for Aegis in Killeen back in March for the Orbitz campaign. Training is supplied by the 'client' and the 'client' requests are actually quite realistic. HOWEVER, the Aegis policies as others have stated are quite rediculous. They do not allow you to have your cell phones on or out on the call center floor, but if you're a parent and have a child or two in day care, sucks to be you. They admittedly do not have a call in line for reps to be contacted if an issue arises with that. But they still expect you to not have a cell phone out. Which, by the way, is a fireable offense.

On the other hand, Aegis is the only large organization between Copperas Cove and Temple that has a permanent sign placed out front that advertises the fact they are hiring. For many individuals in the same geographic location (Copperas Cove-Temple), Aegis IS the only place that is paying more tha $9.00 an hour. As far as incentives are concerned, don't let that sweet talk fool you; the items given over a dollar value of $5 is taxed, and the tax is taken out of your paycheck. The same goes for the gas card; it may be capped at a rate of no more than $2.99 a gallon, and save you .60c per gallon, but it comes directly out of your paycheck. Sometimes there's a hiccup and two months' worth of gas card use comes out of one paycheck.

While I wish there were other options in this area that actively hired, there aren't. The economy is also very tough and getting a job is a seller's market. Aegis gives someone a paycheck, experience, and if he or she does a good job, a promotion to management.

I don't know what 'The truth is out there' is saying in reference to the schedules, but Aegis does this thing called shift bids. Since most of the clients have hours between 7am and 11pm, they (the client) give Aegis the requirements for manned phones during given times and the Aegis workforce management office creates schedules, and assigns a number next to these schedules that provide information on how many of a given shift there are. Shift bids and the rank assigned to any given rep are BASED UPON PERFORMANCE METRICS. If you suck, you're going to get a crappy schedule. If you're really good, you're either going to get the top position and the pick of whatever shift you want, or, a shift that meets your needs. Keep in mind that these shift bids are also time sensitive and if you're off the day (or days) that they are slated to run, you will get stuck with a schedule you don't like and be turned around at the door because you're not in at the time you need to be.

Moral of the story: Aegis may not be Google, Apple, Dell, or Facebook. But, to a geographic location that suffers from a lack of diverse jobs and a very large transient population (military), it is probably the best job one will have in a very long time.

I have never worked for Aegis but I have worked in a CALL CENTER environment and it sounds like this is what it is. TIME IS MONEY & MONEY IS TIME!!! that is the MOTTO in this type of environment. The only way to make a change is to do the surveys (if they have any) most company like this have quota and audits they have to meet for their clients. If no surveys, then buckle down and be one of the TOP performers,,get promoted and be that supervisor that makes a DIFFERENCE...glad I read the reviews, I'll stay put..but..GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE EMPLOYEES AT AEGIS...REMEMBER ..MAKE IT A GREAT DAY THE CHOICE IS YOUR!!!!

no offense but its a job. and it sounds like the last job i had. Having a job at all should be good enough. why do people need to complain about every little thing the dislike. why not just quit and then leave it at that. if those are the reason to hate aegis dont apply to xerox. that is legit hell. and not because of supervisors or the client. but the actual job of handling maintenance medications. so suck it up and either work there or quit.

I currently work for the horrible company. Management does not know how to manage. We are asked to show compassion to our members. When employees are not showing compassion to each other. I know a agent who was asked to have a picture of her daughter removed from her desk because that picture offended several other agents. This picture was of her daughter holding a butterfly. I do not know what was so offensive about that. They wait to tell her this 15 mins before her shift ends. They want to keep it quiet because nothing was wrong with the picture. The only thing was the baby was premature and had passed away. The make things up as they go. Yes it may pay the bills,But they stress you out with all the rules and regulations you have to meet. I do not recommend this job to anyone.
