Yes, Sheila has passed away and Amy the little boys mom is out of her coma and sitting up but still in ICU. Rachael is still in a coma and on a breathing tube. She has severe brain injuries. The men that hit them were treated and released so that is a good thing. Now all our prayers are on Racheal. Thank you for caring.

I thought the man who hit them was drunk, how is that a good thing he was treated and released?

Considering that is my family we are talking about. I don't want death to come on anyones door. I am relieved they did not die as they will be punished by the law not death. I like others try and find positive for all actions good or bad. Does that make sense Ali?

God took our angel back home and I am so lost without her.A piece of my heart has gone with her,I am so sad.She taught me how to drive,She sat through every doctor's appointment I had being pregnant with Victoria,She taught me how to hold my own and be strong, seems I can't remember learning that right now,She showed me how to care for my children. If I needed her she was always there. She taught me how to party a lesson better left untaught. She held me up when I lost my daughter's father she always had a way of making things alright. She always said to love god and never to blame him.She believed in god's angels and taught me how to do that too.She was there when I got my first tatoo. She had one I drew for her put on her ankle that same day.She taught me to never give up or quit. She loved children more than anyone I have ever known, mine included. She took them under her wing and took care of them when they had noone no matter what she had to sacrifice to do it,including our Victoria. She always told people that she was my kid's daddy! She could always make everyone laugh. She loved her family with all she had no matter what. She loved few men but the one's she did love she loved hard. And they are blessed to have had held her and loved her in this life.I cry myself to sleep these nights reliving all the memories of the wonderful times I spent with her.It hurts my heart in a way that I have never felt before.I don't know what we'll do without her.I can only hope to find compfort in knowing that she in now my angel like she was when I had her here. All I can do is pray that god relieves the pain and grief that I feel, and allows me to join her in his kingdom some day.I love you Sheila.I will always miss you. Please continue to watch over me and my family like you always have.I guess now with your wings you are better equiped..........With love for Sheila forever,Debbie Sheila Renee Hatfeild 6-29-62 to 2-17-08

My prayers are with Amy and Racheal as for our Sheila we all know she made it to heaven as bad as it hurts us.And I am finding it very hard to find a positve in the fact that this DRUNK man is free and possibly drinking tonight and maybe even fixing to get in friends car and DRIVE.Who knows who's loved one he may take tonight or tommorrow night or next week next year whenever.I am furious that he is not behind bars.I guess we will all just leave it in God's hands I can find a positive in that!

I think it sucks all around. A chain of poor events occured from one persons bad decsion. One person is dead, 2 others are struggling for their lives. There will be no financial compensation to anyone for anything at he very least. The vehile owner's carried liability only, and the car that hit the ladies, wasn't being driven by he owner of the car, and his poicy doesn't cover other drivers. The driver presented false insurance verificaton. He probably won't be brought to justice legally either. He was an illegal immigrant, and has since vanished. I am thankful Amy, and Rachael are still with us, and little Jason is ok. Those men are left to face God's wrath, and that will be so much more fierce than anything our judicial system can hand down.

From what I gather Amy is doing a little better she has been moved out of ICU she will undergo several serguries and require longterm care. But she is talking and responding. As for Racheal she is still in ICU.Please keep them in your prayers every little bit of hope is needed.

Is Racheal talking or is she still not doing great. I am sorry for everything that ya'll are going threw. I am praying for all everyday and I really am not the person to ever say a bad thing about anyone but the guys that hit them have things coming to them. I was told they got release how is that I don't understand that day they didn't even care about what happened but hey they have to live with it. Remember we are always thinking and praying that everything goes ok.

From what I understand they tried to reduce the medication that is keeping Racheal in a coma but they could not because both of her lungs are collapsed so I am assuming her situation is the same.I haven't talked to her mother in a few days so I am not sure.I cannot believe these guys were treated and released.Especially when they knew they were drunk. The only thing I can think of is they were sent to metroplex and everyone else was sent to scott&white and maybe the hospital wasn't aware they had killed someone and almost 2 other people.I really don't know seems to me they would have had the police at the hospital too.I don't even know if those guys know that they killed someone!Surely they do we had been told she died instanly upon impact. Not to mention the others had to be life flighted out of there. And it really makes me sad that they didn't care. They have changed many many lives forever.Hopefully the law will catch up with them and if not well like you said they'll get what's coming to them.God doesn't like ugly.

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the injured and hurt. I'm terribly sorry.

Another reason to get rid of illegal immigrants.
