BERLIN (AP) - Sen. Barack Obama scrapped plans to visit wounded members of the armed forces in Germany as part of his overseas trip, a decision his spokesman said was made because the Democratic presidential candidate thought it would be inappropriate on a campaign-funded journey.

The reason was they told him he could not bring the press train with him. Since it would not be covered, it was not worth it to him.

Isn't that a shame? No photo op is a reason to cancel I suppose. Of course they did offer to take pictures of him with the wounded soldiers, his crew couldn't take them though and they wouldn't be ready for him to release on the nightly news.

Needless to say that tweeked my nerves.

Does anyone giving these comments watch the news? McCain claims to be an honorable man but all he and Palin have done is tell lies. The only change they are about is to change the subject when it comes to real issues. Watch the CNN or Fox and they both have a fact finding segments that tells exactly how truthful or untruthful both of the candidates are. Both candidates have taken earmarks but Palin has taken more than all of them per capita. Most of the people around here that I know make under $250,000. Obama's plan would make life better for me, my children and grandchildren. McCain offers nothing unless of course, you are rich. If you don't care about the issues, then you need to think about the age factor, McCains mental and physical issues and who he picked for Vice President. Palin knows nothing about foreign policy issues, and I know you are thinking that Obama is inexperienced also, and it may be true but at least he had the sense to pick Biden, who has vast knowledge in foreign affairs. Just this week McCain was for the bailout and then he was against it. He said he would fire Cox if he was president but should have known he doesn't have the authority to fire him. He makes decisions without thinking it over first. Him and Palin call themselves Mavericks and they are going to Washington packing guns and "shake things up". It would be comical if it weren't so serious. I want a change and Obama will help me have that change.
