DO NOT rent with jwc rentals! They do not care about your needs as a renter and only care about your money. No matter how rude or loud your neighbors are or how much someone is violating the lease they will not do anything about it. The only thing they will do is evict you if you do not pay rent since all they care about is money. I urge everyone not to rent with these greedy pigs. If I had the money i would take them to court for not following the rules of they're own lease and making a renters home inhabitable just because they care about money and that's it. SAVE YOUR SELF THE TROUBLE AND RENT WITH A BETTER COMPANY!

Actually JWC is pretty awful. I rented for them for over a year. I consistently called in complaints that were ignored until I sent in certified letters, with a threatened lawsuit. Also if you are a owner, I would beware. Although they will definitly keep your property rented they do not check on it. I was staying in a property and the people living next to me were destroying the fence and walls and carpet in the next unit. They had more people move in than was on their list. I called many times to JWC about the illegal subletting and they never responded. I think that all of the property management companies are this way. I can't believe they were voted best rental company, I guess with companies like hunter ( which sucks) I am currently renting from them people have no choice to vote them #1.

HOLY COW! so I know that i should always wait for a receipt, but sometimes i go thru the drive thru and HAND IT TO THE PERSON AT THE WINDOW not use the drop box... so this month MAY 2009 i got money order on the evening of the 2nd and went on my lunch break the next day and handed to the lady at the drive thru and kept going.. the line was sooo long and i was tired of waitins as well. So i get a late notice for late fees after returning from a trip.. the receipt had the time of 8:13 am for the 4th! NOONE CAN TELL ME HOW THAT HAPPENED! so she says i must have put it in the drop box the night before. which is a huge lie! the only witnesses i have are the people at work that can vouch for me that i did indeed leave work on the 3rd on lunch to go pay rent. BLAAAAAAHH!! I CANT WAIT TO MOVE! I ACTUALLY READ ALL THE HORRIBLE POSTS AND STILL MOVED THERE.. MY BAD!

Seems to be that you are a complainer. JWC has high expectations and if you were grown up then you would not have such stupid issues. We've been with them since 2005 with no problems. Seems that you did not have the rent in by the due date and time. It is due by the 3rd regardless. And, maybe next time, you'll wait for your receipt - I would to avoid mistakes that could happen and cause a 10% fee. JWC is one of the longest running companies in the area. Think twice before leaving because you do have a "late" and that looks bad on your record. I have been renting from them for 2 years and I have nothing to say good about them. The air went out and it took them 2 months to get the owners to replace it. They offered nothing to make us more comfortable during those 2 long summer months. The back door was messed up and took them 7 months to fix it and it still wont close right. The carpet badly needs replaced. I had them send out a company and the lady from the company herself said this is the origional carpet with the house and the house is 17 years old. It needs replaced. It unravels when you sweep over it. Are they going to replace it? No! But I bet they try to charged for it when I move out. Good thing I made note of it when I moved in. There are 0 screens in here and of course they dont want me to have any. The fence is falling down and they say it is not up to them but to my neighbor who is buying her house but it is on both properties and actually is faced on myside. These are just some of the issues I have had with them. I am never late on my rent. I agree with every person that has put something bad on them. Good thing we are having our house built and will be out this spring!

I have never seen a company with such of one sided contract like the one of JWC and of course will be against the renter and will cover and protect the land lord. I been dealing with this people since May for multiple work orders, things that were not working properly and/or stop working, I have call, I have walking and is mid OCT and nothing , they haven’t fix nothing. Every time I go there this people tell me that I’m suppose to received a call from the repair company, no calls at all, and is not my job to call this people is there job as the land lord, but even doing your part by as a tenant, paying on time and keeping the property in good conditions, they show no interest on helping or resolving the tenants issues. Bad ratings for this company, if you are looking for a place go to any other small company around town cause for this guys… is all about the $$$. On a scale from 1-10, 10 been the best, they can get a -1.

They are voted best rental company every year becuase they buy many newspapers and force the employees to fill out many papers voting them the best. It is rigged. But don't feel bad, the employees are treated even worse than the tenants that get screwed over!

They have not a clue how it works. The rental agency is to manage the property. Some some are good about not taking slum properties and others are not. The owner of the property determines in their contract with the rental agency if they can spend X dollars on repairs without having to notify owners. The other scenerio is that NOTHING can be spent unless approved and money sent in advance of repairs. Since this IS a military area a lot of the properties are owned by soldiers...and a lot of them do not have enough in the property when they left so all the money the get less the 5-10% the rental agency gets all goes to pay mortgage and taxes. So they have to come out of pocket to pay for repairs. So don't go blaming the JWC...put the blame where it belongs. Its amazing that you even rented a place that is as bad as you say it is. Good luck with your new home...who will you call to whine to when you fence breaks or your toilet backs up...and those home warranties...make sure you read ALL the fine print. Most will not pay if you can not prove in writing that you have been doing the routine maintainence on your home.

We cleaned it and stayed the entire lease period, cleaned and had the carpets cleaned. Inspector said it looked great! Its been two months no statement no deposit. I get the run around when I call. Yesterday they are telling me its mostly gone in FEES, and cleaning. PLEASE NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! NEVER late, no work orders fulfilled our lease WHAT FEES. I HAVE TURNED THEM IN TO THE BBB, & FT HOOD HOUSING

My wife and i just moved out of the house we rented from JWC for three years never missing a rental payment, and when we moved in the place was a mess and had many damaged items, but we moved in because we were staying in a hotel for three weeks and needed something fast. Well the fact is when the move in inspection was done everything was writin down by the inspector. Several weeks later the owner himself came to the house and took pictures of the damaged items and said dont worry Ill get it fixed. Here we are three years later nobody ever fixed the holes in the walls rotten tile in bathrooms, stained carpet and broken hardware on the sliding glaas door. We bought a house and moved dec 1st of 2009 last week we got a letter in the mail from JWC saying we owed them $1800 for damages. The very things that were damaged or broken the day we moved in. But the funny thing is Cristina says blame the ownwer well she is right the owner of the house that we rented is Jim Wright himself. Not only did they bill us $1800 they said we had 14 days to pay or they were gonna turn it over to collections, they said they maild on the 8th we got it on the 16 and now have to come up with the cash by friday. JWC IS THE WORST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH IN MY LIFE THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT VETRANS THIS WOMAN IS FULL OF S##T. They have done this to several people we know all of them soldiers.

I'm a Soldier who had just come back from deployment to Iraq. I moved into my JWC house and found holes in my carpet in the living room and in the master br. Also, a broken "john" in the master bath, a broken dishwasher in the kitchen, the walls in the bedrooms were horribly painted with the old paint bleeding though, and bugs in the living room. We'll just say I wasn't pleased. When I called to get it fixed, no one ever showed up. I fixed the john myself because we had to use it. No one ever called us back about the dishwasher or the bugs. No, here's the kicker. I moved out because I couldn't take it and JWC's employees acted like I was cancer. They treated my wife and myself like dirt and hasseled us over everything. The ladies that work in the front office, great people. The managers, the worst. Rude, egotistical jerks. This is how JWC treats the Soldiers of our country.

If you dig far enough you will find JWC rentals are owned by someone that sits on the Killeen city Council, That same council that says they are fighting for the rights of it's citizens, all the while scheming to bilk the taxpayer through some other senseless unneeded project. The Real Issue is these people were put into office with a minority of votes. I.E less then 5% of Killeen's population voted. This same Council has been in Office in some sort or fashion for eons. Some new blood is whats needed to turn this city around, Get Rid of the Well's the Pursers, the Coles' The Workmen's, Especially Hancock he's done absolutely nothing for the City, I challenge anyone to prove or show his accomplishments. Oxygen thief's the whole lot.
