Full story: El Paso Times 18
It is time that we "kill" political correctness. I will start the death of political correctness by pointing out to President Obama that he can't handle the truth. Full Story

Javier Lopez - Next year, don't point the gun at your head and force yourself to go shopping. Stay home and chill.

But if we do go to a numbering system for shopping, I guess stores could use SS numbers.

No - illegals don't have those. Drivers license, no again. Would numbers be in both English and Spanish?

Maybe, just maybe, there are more important things in life than worrying about Black Friday store hours and long lines.

Robert Gates made Osama Bin Laden what he is today. This is not exaggeration. By funding Osama Bin Laden's operations, training camps, weaponry and political influence from 1979 (even before Russia invaded Afghanistan), Robert Gates personally gave us our principal enemy in the "War on Terror".

More frighteningly, all of Robert Gates' support to Osama Bin Laden ran through Pakistan's ISI. ISI has been linked to training and funding the 9/11 bombers, the London bombers, the Madrid bombers, the Bali bombers and the Delhi bombers but is strangely immune from official Washington scrutiny.

LondonYank's diary:
CREATING A QUAGMIRE-PART I

It is ironic indeed that a man who engineered the quagmire in Afghanistan which bankrupted and demoralised the Soviet Union, precipitating its collapse, should be brought in to direct our own quagmire which is bankrupting the United States Treasury and precipitating the collapse of American hegemony in the world.

In his 1996 memoir From the Shadows, former Director of Central Intelligence Robert Gates revealed the $500 million in non-lethal aid which was designed to counter the billions the Soviets were providing their puppet regime. Some American policymakers were eager to lure the Soviets into a Vietnam-like entanglement. Gates recounts that at a key meeting on March 30, 1979, Under Secretary of Defense Walter Slocumbe wondered aloud whether 'there was value in keeping the Afghan insurgency going, "sucking the Soviets into a Vietnamese quagmire."

The cynicism with which Gates and others backed Al Qaeda is revealed in this Zbigniew Brzezinski interview:

Question: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs "From the Shadows", that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?

Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention. That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter. We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.

Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic fundamentalism, having given arms and advice to future terrorists?

B: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?

Much corroborative research has indicated how 9/11 happened under Dick Cheney and George W. Bush.

For all of you "doubting Thomas's" and "self-deniers", search the Internet for a voluminous amount of research.

Dick stayed in the basement; W. stayed at his ranch.

Then we have Halliburton and Carlyle, and the Bush family connections to the bin Ladens and Saudi Arabia.

Putting conspiracy theories aside that 9/11 was a "false-flag operation" or "inside job", there is much critical and scientific research that increases skepticism about how and why 9/11 occurred.

Just the fact that George W. Bush said that he saw a bad pilot fly into one of the Twin Towers...

BEFORE IT WAS EVEN ON T.V. produces an utterly foul (not in Denmark) smell!

From the Washington-based Pew Research Center for the People & the Press:

“Forty-nine percent of Americans, the survey says, believe the United States should ‘mind its own business’ and let other nations get along on their own.  That is up from 30 percent in 2002.”
Many will wail about the escalation in Afghanistan, but the American people are too occupied with other issues and other pastimes to care much.

The occupation of Afghanistan will go on…for oil…for hegemony…etc.

If the U.S. had truly cared about the Afghan people, it would have paid more attention to helping the Afghan people. These people distrust the American government. Can we blame them? They trust war lords and poppies more than they do the good intentions of the U.S.A.
We didn’t listen to Dwight Eisenhower’s warnings in his 1961 Military-Industrial Complex Speech:

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence---economic, political, even spiritual---is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.”

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

"We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

"Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades."

"…we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite."

Just because a Muslim did that heinous act automatically people bring up "Muslim terrorist". He was just some crazed maniac. It is not known whether he did say "allah akbar". Stop listening to the ill informed right wing radio that feeds its listeners with misinformation.

The NeoCon (New Pearl Harbor=9/11) Tea Baggers and GOP want to retain, or at least, regain the power which they possessed from the first Presidential sElection (by the Supreme Court) which installed the bungling idiot who called himself the Decider, and who illegally invaded Iraq (with the help of a complicit and also idiot Congres), and left Afghanistan to become a tragic Chaos, probably to give the Pentagon folks more time to continue their Perpetual Wars. And they will. The American people are the world's finest amnesiacs. Just feed them their burgers, dope, and Sunday football, and you can let the bombs fall all day 'til Kingdom come. And THEN, we wonder why MORE TAXATION IS LEVIED.

The MPs,witnesses and the surviving victims reported that he yelled Allah Akbar just before and during the shooting. ALL the news stations reported that information. Must not be any liberal news stations on the air anymore.

Is he just some nut or a terrorist? We will have to wait for the psych evaluation and/or court martial.

But the facts remain the same as to what he was yelling.

Mrs. Moore, since you have an Anglo-Saxon surname, I will use the same logic you use with Barack Obama being "Muslim," and assume you worship Norse Gods such as Wotan and Thor.

["Massacre At Fort Hood
Monday, November 5, 2012 - 5:41pm

Today marks three years since the deadly massacre at Fort Hood where 13 people lost their lives and 31 others were injuried.

One soldier who survived the shootings hit the road last week for a 5-day, 80-mile run to the state capitol.
It's all part of his fight to make sure no one forgets about the victims who are still struggling with what happened.

"During this time of the year, I really get choked up, and my body is hurting, my mind is weary." said Christopher Royal whose a survived the Fort Hood shooting.

Officer Royal is expected to finish his 80-mile journey sometime today in Austin."]

This is the only way to handle things right now. The military and the defense attorney are dragging their feet. The shooter is a healthy as he can get given the fact he was seriously injured and is handicapped not only by his injuries but his hatred and his faith. There will never be any virgins for him as he will die either by his own hand in in prison. Anyone on the jury of peers votes for this man to die as a sentence should be taken out and slapped silly. He must stay alive in prison as long as possible without anyone inside causing his death. He must die of old age or at his own hand. HE may be a believer in the word but the word does not believe in him. He has violated the word which was sacred and there fore he must die restrained or at his own hand.He has dishonored his family and his nation. Only the Japanese have a ceremony for this betrayal. Let him decide.

The trial needs to go forward and as soon as possible. It is the only way those who lost loved ones and those who suffered at his hands will get over most of their grief.

It was workplace violence. Nothing about it was terrorism so let the courts handle it in due time.

It is not work place violence when you have a man kill 13 people some in uniform and some civilians because his religious beliefs form by a now dead Muslim Cleric born in New Mexico, tell him to serve Allah by killing as many people as he can so his will get his virgins upon his death. This has taken too long to process and proceed. HE needs to go to trial now, Be made to shave his beard in compliance WITH ARMY RULES AND REGULATION so that all the witnesses have equal ability to identify the shooter as he was seen on the day of the shootings.

So you're saying the administration, the one you voted to reelect, is lying? They have maintained this to be workplace violence from the beginning, even to the point where families of the victims cannot get benefits because it is not officially combat related. I thought you supported our CIC but now you say he is wrong? What gives?

It is not the commander-in-chief that made that designation. It was the Armed forces oversight committee who was run by the Republicans when the requests for aid was made. It has been labeled a act of domestic terrorism.

Of course you assume too much about my political beliefs and voting habits. You must be a real died in the wool evangelical republican. Do I have to go to church and avow I am a Christian? Would that make it better if I voted you way? STUFF IT. You are as bad as Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich!

Are you denying after the fact that you voted for Obama? You were sure shooting your mouth off in here ahead of time about who to vote for - pure Democrat all the way. You even started a post with that as the title. And you're flat out wrong, as per usual, about the designation. The Republicans are fighting to get it reclassified but it has not been done because the administration is sticking by it's story of not allowing terrorism on its watch. You're too blind to see that, though, just like you are to your own inanity, prejudice and buffoonery.
