LWV Candidate forum in KDH Monday October 17. Will the mayor & commissioners take questions?

Of course not. It is a personnel issue and can't be discussed.

The light was functioning properly the day Missy Marvin ran it and killed 4 people. That same summer another drunk driver killed a woman at that same intersection by rear ending her vehicle that was stopped for a red light. I have driven through numerous intersections with flashing traffic signals in my 20 plus years of driving. I've never had a problem understanding the differences between yellow and red. I have even driven through the Colington intersection several times when the light was on flash, and again I dont' get confused.

Wow, you're a great driver. Not everyone is as great as you.

Apparently hundreds of people thought it was a problem since they called for assistance and didn't get any.

Great sarcasm! Hundreds? Have you seen the call log? Ok, just for kicks and giggles, lets see you shift the blame from Missy Marvin for her "accident". Was it too much sun that day, the light wasn't red enough, or did the police make her do it? Lets see what excuses you have.

His dismissal may technically be a personnel issue but the policies he put in place that contributed to the dismissal and the other matters that contributed are not personnel issues. There is a line between what is really a personnel issue and what is not. Don't let them hide behind that personnel issue excuse to avoid being honest with the citizens.

Yes in fact I have seen it and heard most of them....more than once. As far as MM, no, she was 100% at fault, no excuses.

Next question!

MM ran a red light during busy chaotic vacation day traffic! Why weren't the police there with lights on so drunks would turn around?

Afterall, this recent fatality occured with a red light and, no chaos, light traffic. The earlier chaos and screeching was fatality free.

Hmmmmm.

Something to think about. If the police chief was asked to leave, relieved of his command, on leave or whatever happened, if he wasn't in command the night of the accident then who was? If a suitable replacement wasn't in command then I think you have to look at the mayor and the town officals on why a suitable replacement wasn't in command. They probably need to be looked at anyway. This could explain the KDHPD actions during this tragedy.

I bet I know why the chief was suspended, he tried to get a date with Ray.

no,he should not have been drunk and if KDH would have done anything, they might have caught him.

Instead, they enjoyed a nice dinner for four at western sizzlin.

The powers to be say the reason the chief was suspended are personal issue and not anything to do with his job performance. No idea what they are but they sure don't have anything to do with the accident at Colington Rd.

Sue, do you really think there is no chain of command in a police dept? I think maybe you need a supervisor.

No Curious ....the Town Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the Town. You may not like them, but the Commissioners do not supervise the Police Department, the Town Manager does. If there was a chain of command issue, it goes inside the PD first and next to the Town Manager. If the TM didn't have a back-up chain of command in place, the Town Manager needs to be looked at, that is the job of the board. If you're gonna throw stones, throw them at the proper parties and quit trying to skew the issue.

I guess they tell everyone they have 20 minutes to pack their stuff, and vacate the premesis over "personal issues". I think it's more than personal.

Personally, I think when someone is placed on suspension, they should not get paid.

If they return to the job, then give them all the back pay they deserve.

If they don't, then some money was saved.

They had better hurry up getting a chief in there.

They have no supervision.

1 kdh police expedition, two police cars and 1 dog catcher truck all sitting at western sizzlin right now.

This is where they were all sitting when that guy was killed a while back. Thanks for the protection officer.

I hope that buffet is good guys

If its not Western Sizzlin, their all sitting at Kangaroo at Colington at night. Guess they figure if their not at 7-11 nobody will notice and complain. An no when they are sitting at Kangaroo, their not in their cars, their inside hiding in the closed subway.

An while I'm at it..to the jackass officer(s) who drives the black charger..your not as cool as you think you for driving that car like shit at night. They should put you in a fucking rickshaw.

Enjoy the buffet.

On the bright side, you know where to find them.
