Yep, greasy and thin. Fold in half to eat and it drips all over ya.
You fold it in half so it DOESN'T drip.

That's the idea but it usually finds it's way out eventually.

She didn't? It must have been the name that threw me off.
Right nice of you to explain it to me, thank you much.

Went to Sal's two nights ago with my family of seven. Service was prompt. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful -- and she spoke the King's English, not Ebonics. We all thought the pizza was very good. Maybe not the greatest, but certainly a cut above average. Both our waitress and the guy in the kitchen were willing to cater to the fussy tastes of my two grandsons. All in all, we thought we got good value for the money.

Greasy and overpriced. I eat a lot of NY pizza. You drop a napkin on top to soak up the grease before eating it. I needed 10 napkins with Sals. Just not worth the money.

Do you know for a fact that they are Muslim? Do you know for a fact that they don't pay taxes and pay their employees under the table. If so can you prove it?

You sound like a typical ignorant native (26th gen perhaps?). You see people who are from out of town who are making money and you can't stand it so you try to slander them while sitting safely behind your computer.

I ate at Sal's a while back.. it was crap. I have no plans in my itinerary in life to go back there.

UPDATE.. THEY ARE NOT OPEN LATE ANYMORE.

They act or try to act is if they just left Brooklyn and stopped here to make pizza for the OBX'ers. Well these wanna be NY'ers are really Pakistani people or Israeli people or Wings family or friends. They are dirty and watching their doings behind the counter turned me off even more than the pizza. So, long story short...
Eat more slice pizza.

PS... SoundtoSand your inputs are awesome to read, I hope you're a Columnist.(A columnist is a journalist who writes for publication in a series, creating an article that usually offers commentary and opinions.)Definitions was for those whom didn't know what a columnist was.. LOL

This Place SUCKS. The pizza tastes like burnt cardboard. Not to mention its nothing like NY pizza.

My roomates and myself have ordered delivery on two different occasions and they "FORGOT" to bring the Drink on One occasion and the Wings, Garlic Knots and a drink on another occasion.
These people are either crooks or retards.
I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!
OR GIVE THEM ANOTHER CENT OF MY MONEY!

I ate their the othe day with my family. I had the vegetable pizza which was good, not great. The cook/waiter had trouble with his English. We initially ordered chicken fingers for the kids and changed ito a slice of cheese pizza before the waiter left the table. When he returned, not only did he bring the cheese pizza, he brought the chicken fingers also. We didn't say anything about it and kept the order. The chicken fingers were the processed crap you would get from a fast food joint and were terrible. Also our bottled soft drinks were flat. They advertised a lunch special with fountain drinks but didn't get that even though that was what we ordered.

The atmosphere was marginal and litterally stunk from years of cigarette smoke from when it was a pool hall.

I much rather go to any of the other pizza places on the beach.

Your suggestions are out of place in a KDH forum. There are no authentic pizza joints on the Outer Banks so if you want pizza there, it is what it is. Dare Devils is a great name but the pizza is flavorless. Sal's is better than that. There are several other pizza places in Dare Co., none of them worth writing home about.

Nobody cares that you've eaten pizza in Georgetown or Chicago. We're talkin about Sal's.

Had their pizza. This is not New York pizza. It is horrible. Tastes like pizza you get at the Ocean City boardwalk. If you want to try really good pizza, try Chicago pizza on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, DC. Or alternatively, go to New York for NY pizza or try somewhere else. This place does not have good pizza. But I guess some have opinions as it being good because they do not know any better or have not gone anywhere else except on this Island.

Justice, you must not have tried NY Pizza Pub. Owned and run by a family from NYC. Good stuff.
