Mother Battles Against Seneca Nation Over Custody Of Daughter

My question is this:
How can the SN rule to give the child to the father when the mother is white and OFF the reservation? Something stinks here.

The SNI only gives children to the native parent. They are corrupt and their judges are not even real judges. Real courts won't touch the case if SNI has it first because they are afraid to piss the SNI off for some reason.

So I hear and they also DO NOT know their own laws. If the Federal Government knew half the stuff they do, they'd never send them another dime. That's why they're not sovereign you know, because they still get money from the government.

The Seneca Nation peacemakers court doesn't always give the child custody to the Native parent over the non-Native parent. I know someone who is a Native women who has been doing all she can to get her child back from the non- Native father. She is a good person and the father is a druggie. Sometimes in our court system it is all about who you know and who likes you!!! My heart goes out to the children who caught between the two worlds. I pray for the best out come of this case!!!

I concur because it's ALWAYS about the children. Most people just can't get that in their heads. They need an ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!:-)

if everyone thinks that the sni courts are corrupt, why don't you do something about it?

if you are non-native:
call you local congressman, tell them about the abuses of the monies sent to them,
or write to the governor of nys, tell them about the abuses.

if you are native:
do the same thing, even if you don't vote in white world, you still have a voice and can make
a complaint.

a seneca woman took an indian man to court over custody , this would have been about 1983, and she set precedent that a seneca indian child custody case can be adjudicated in the county courts.

the man tried to get in on the reservation, but because this seneca woman took it off the reservation first, that is where the case went.

this was after the federal laws took place, the indian child welfare act.

so it was a seneca mother who started all this going out of the indian courts. so there is no reason that the nation courts can take any child custody cases anymore .....

any case after this case would be illegal......

I guarantee you the father is not a 2 time felon- he wouldnt be working at the casino if he did. I have a DWI and am not allowed to work at the casino- and a friend of mine declared bancrupty and was turned away employment. They, the father and his new wife are wonderul parents.

I would have call you on that cause I have his criminsl docket right in front of me. He must of lied to the casino to.. He is good at that . So maybe I should sent the casino a copie of it . How long do you think he will work there if you are right...

She should file a new petition in Catt. Co. Family Court. I know a guy who was denied visitation rights by the SNI court. He took it to Catt. Co. and they granted him joint custody and he was allowed to have his kids every weekend.
