It's about time someone finally woke up and realized that if a city is going to grow, you need to bring in the larger chain restaurants. They will not build here until they can serve alcohol. This is the 21st century and Henderson is just now coming into the 20th!!! I personally do not see this passing though. There is already chatter around town that FBC will not allow it to pass. And we all know when FBC talks, this town cowers down to them.

I'm a raging alcoholic. I can't wait for this to pass so that I can quit doing all of this meth, and get back on the ole liquid fun in a bottle.

I signed today and didn't have to get out of the car. Just drive through the tobacco barn at Brookshires.

Henderson is always behind. Every small town has already voted to sell alcohol. Think of the money that has gone to gregg co. from rusk co. in the last 50 years and the lives lost driving to Kilgore.

Alcohol only degrades a community and invites a number of problems. I would vote no.

People, alcohol is already here. And I would bet money it is at some of the houses that will be trying to ban this. Keep the money here, bring in nicer places to eat, (no more mexican, unless margiritas) It is a win win situation.

I'm not much of a drinker myself but I think people have the right to choose for themselves. I'm not going looking for a petition but if I come across one I'll sign it.

Ignorance and stupidity is what degrades a community, not freedom of choice.

The people that don't want alcohol are the bootleggers, the ones that have an interest in liquor stores in Kilgore, and those that already have a permit. Look at the money this town loses every year because people drive to Kilgore or Longview to buy beer and wine.

Ignorance and stupidity generally follow alcohol consumption.

Save your money from booze and put it in the collection plate at church so the Preachers can buy another luxury home, car, boat, and mistress.
Amen

True. The difference is the next day you can be sober while the ignorant and stupid spew continually.
