Sharon showed absolutely no remorse or guilt. I hope and pray she realizes in prison what she has done to a family that opened their arms to her completely

U know what i think sharon is realizing what she did NOW while she's in prison, maybe their are some regreats like maybe she should of handled it another way and nobody deserves to die but hey she told him if he ever but his hands on her she would kill him, so he wanted to be all big and bad and thats exactly what she did but she is a nice person n he really pushed her buttons. i hope she gets out really really soon

It was jealousy, not domestic violence that led her to kill him. Every woman out here now uses domestic violence as justification for taking a life. There are real victims of domestic violence out here, but those are the ones keeping silent. Its people like Daniels who use it to keep from taking responsibility for their actions.

I bet you have NEVER been abused, and if you have....you definitely have no idea what you are talking about. I AM a victim of domestic violence. I have made reports that get twisted or disapear completely. I made the reports while lying on a hospital bed, barely conscience. I never used abuse as a tactic. I opened my mouth to get help. Just because some people don't open their mouths doesn't mean none of us do. And it doesn't mean we would kill over jealousy. It means, if the police aren't going to do their job...well, hell, I ain't gonna die under his hand....I'm gonna kill him before he kills me. I aint gonna be no coward. She shouldn't even have to go to prison. Any man who touches a woman over and over and over again and planes to kill her...well, I beleive I have a right to defend myself. Even to the death. And if thats what she did, she doesnt need prison time. She needs to be able to enjoy the rest of her life that she took back from the bastard.

While I only agree with killing someone if it's defending your life, only Sharon was there and only Sharon, David, and God knows what really happened. I saw Snapped and I really believe in my heart that she killed him in self-defense.

My husband and I watch that show all the time, it is so addicting. Last night when the episode started and I saw the Nelda's Nook sign, I so OMG that is right here in town. My husband didn't believe me. So we watched the show together and could not believe it. I am not going to judge anyone because we do not know what really happens behind closed doors.

I've never been in a domestic violence situation, but I do wonder why in the world so many of the women who are abused continue to stay with a man who beats them. I know there are many, many different situations and reasons, but I have to believe if I were in that position I would get away from him before I had to resort to killing him.

I didn't resort to killing my ex, but I did mess his truck up, broke the windows out, flattened the tires. Got arrested for domestic violence, although the only thing wrong with him was a freakin Shaving Cut that had been on his neck for 2 days, that had a scab on it, while I sat in the back of the patrol car w/two black eyes, chipped teeth and bruises showing on my arms where he grabbed me. I lost my job at the Sheriff's Dept, lost my home and my kids for 1 week until I could find a place for us and all the while he just bailed out of jail and continued to work, like he didn't do anything freakin wrong, but the proof was on my face. We both paid a small fine and that was that. Now, when I got out of jail 8 hours or so later, I had no home to go to, my kids weren't with me, nothing to drive and no money and no job. But I picked myself up and went on. NOW, I stayed because if you have never been in an abusive relationship then you don't know that along with the physical abuse, there is also the mental abuse....He told me he would take my kids from me and his father would help, that I couldn't afford to take care of them and he would see me go down with nothing. I believed him. I don't know why things happen, but I believe things happen for a reason, but as a "survivor" I know that a lot of things go through your mind, including murder, I don't know why I didn't kill the sob that not only did this to me, but did it in front of our small children, but God was with me, so don't judge unless u've been there.

funny, wasn't one of Jimmerson's promises when he ran for office that he would NEVER EVER offer a plea bargain to ANYONE? He stuck by that promise for about an hour into his term.

Well my family is from Kilgore and I did catch the episode on snapped. A few points bothered me. She is obviously a very smart and articulate woman. But the fact that she was so calm, cool and collected on the 911 tape. On top of that, premeditation was certainly there. She told her late husband she would kill him if he abused her again...And she shot him while he was asleep. Makes you say HMMMM.. Why didn't she just leave. Life is about choices and hindsight is 20/20 so I think she mad a MAJOR mistake on that one.

I was also in a domestic abuse relationship... and on top of that I was mentally abused. I was thrown out of my window in my home from the 2nd floor. I was chocked constantly. I got pregnant and was hit and kicked in the stomach which resulted in me losing my child that I wanted sooooo very much. So when enough was enough... I got the hell on! I did mess up though. I tried to run my partner over one day because I snapped. Thank God I missed. Cuz I too would be on that episode.

My prayers and heart goes out to Sharon because being hit is not the only abuse. Being abused mentally is worse. In my opinion bruises and broken bones heal. But you never forget being spit on and talked to bad. Neither is right, but I am a firm believer in GET OUT OF THE BAD RELATIONSHIP WHILE THE GETTING IS GOOD...

( Any man who touches a woman over and over and over again and planes to kill her...)

This is the point.
Over and over and over.
That meant the woman had the oppertunity to leave and get out of the life style.

It is starting to be known now that statitcs indicate it is the male spouse being abused now days and not the female.
