Another socialist view from the ignorant. People are free to put their cash wherever they want. IF YOU choose charities, then good for you, but don't feel you can compel others to do the same. Noise pollution? Sheeesh...mellow out..it's a celebration! Stay home and watch soap operas or put more useless rants online. That'll keep you busy.
