So, the Republican party bashed this lawyer for defending a person accused of a crime. Apparently the Republicans (and some of the other people posting comments) believe that if you are accused of a crime, you should not have the right to have a lawyer assist with your defense.

It's stories like these where you see people's narrow-mindedness ooze up to the surface. What if this guy was your brother or cousin or son? At least he's genuine and not a fake bull-sh!t-t$ng politico. Yeah, I might call him on the sex-offender thing, but his sexual orientation and the fact that he has HIV doesn't make him less of a person. He's a better person than you haters out there. C'mon Hawaii, I thought we were better than this.

Your on to something here - the real problem with our "Doolittle hand out to lobbyists" politicians is the two party system itself. It has crippled our Congress in Washington no matter which party's candidate is in the White House. We need to wake up.
