Yep, we are not likely to stop war, pestilence, disease, famine or other calamities. We "have to make them work for us," right? Such b.s. logic is worthy of a single lingle jingle- but could we be spared of it?

Guess we got the spin...

which should negate any blessing that might have been bestowed.

So now, maybe it needs to get blessed?

Dear Lingle please dedicate highway projects for this island of Oahu and not let the Mass- Transit system destroy this island or put the Mass-Transit system on Maui and fix our roads up over here

I wonder if we as Mauians can physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually accomodate a population growth of 49%(roughly 70,000) in the next 30 years. Do we the people of Maui have any say as to how much growth there will be on Maui or are people going to move to Maui eventhough we have one of the highest cost of living in the nation, a severe shortage of water, a lack of high paying jobs, and many other deficits. Locally born Mauians are moving away from Maui because of these deficits so we are saying that the 49% growth will be coming primarily from newcomers. How will this impact the way of life for the locally born Maui resident? Let us talk about this with our County planners, our Council members, and Mayor.

You poor left wing ultra-liberal malcontent Democrats, why don't you just shutdown your air port, harbors and try to live on your own?(stay out of Walmart, K-mart and the other mainland based retailers). The rest of the world doesn't need you, you need us. You couldn't sustain yourselves for even one month. You may be "locally born" but that is purely an accident of location. No one evolved on the Islands, you are all immigrants. By the way, It's Governor Lingle.
