lol! Wow. A discussion based on whether it's a "fair fight."

As long as you stay in your own box in your own world, it works. But I wouldn't advise you to come out in the real world. You'll find the new "laws" completely foreign to you.

<quoted text>That shoe, unfortunately, applies to you. That's why I continue to suggest that when someone attacks Obama and his policies, don't try to "defend" him by simply pointing to what Bush did. It makes both you and Obama look weak. Develop solid, concrete arguments to effectively counter those criticisms directly.
Even Obama knows better than to constantly blame Bush. He realizes that will only make him look like he's seeking excuses, pointing the finger instead of exhibiting true leadership. People like you hurt him more than you help.
lol! I see. So in absence of facts, do what you "believe" or "feel" is right. In other words, inject your opinions as facts. Those would be considered your solid concrete arguments (or do those rules only apply to conservatives?)

If you can't find facts to defend Obama's policies, then perhaps I can try help you. Surely some exist. Do you want help?

Well, you're definitely "the pits" of something. Maybe it is "the Universe."

God help us, if that's the case.

If you don't have facts to bang on Obama, why would anyone need to defend him?

Or would this be your opinion you'd be providing?

Now you see -- this is where you will later play the victim, saying Fisherman called you names. As far as I can tell, he did not. But look at your mouthy self. You think you are fostering communication here?

BTW, you may remember that Fisherman actually took you at face value and made an apology about something you were sanctimonious about.

LD, we do know who you are. There are no grapes on your bush, no figs in your thistles.

If we're going to morph this string into 'banging" on Obama, I'm in!

lol! I'll know myself as soon as the "rules making person" gets them published.

Then again, the rules maker has changed it on me mid-stream on other topics.

LOL. Yes, Bull, we all know Fisherman is a saintly, innocent soul who NEVER dishes out insults, criticism... or humor. Right, Fisherman?

I mean, in his previous two posts alone, all he did was suggest that I'd been drinking "Thunderbird" and that he "forgives me" because of that, and make a sarcastic comment about being the center of the Universe (which he often accuses me of thinking that I am).

No, absolutely nothing there which warranted my disproportionately vicious personal attack, telling him that he's "the pits." How awful of me!! Do you think I'll be banned from Topix for saying that?

TBH, I thought he could take it. But you've reminded me how thin-skinned, defenseless, and maybe - just a little "prissy" - you Libs tend to be. So you guys can keep at it with the name-calling and personal insults, and in response, I'll try to be more cognizant of your sensitive feelings. Because as I've mentioned, it doesn't bother me. It just makes me wonder why you need to resort to that in an ongoing debate about, say, Obama's flawed policies, or how atheists' lack of spirituality leaves them feeling empty and lonely.

So I apologize to Fisherman for ruining his day, and for offending you as well. Especially since you're probably feeling a little vulnerable now, with your drinking problem and all.

Are you referring to me, by any chance? If so, I've never really considered myself to be "the rule maker."

Maybe something more like "The Decider"... but in a totally fair, unbiased and judicious manner, of course!

(If you weren't referring to me, then sorry -- please disregard!)

lol! Thin skinned. Name-calling. Insults.

I do believe you were looking the mirror when you came up with that assessment.

lol! Wow! Sounds like the self proclaimed quantum physics expert has promted herself to God. She's counting a posters "sins" as sins against her. And then in the end she forgives him! Who else can claim the right to do that?

Amazing what a core conservative can convince herself of. All it takes is a maniacal ego and... voila! Instant diety!

Personally I think it's blasphemy but you're the religious experts.

lol! Wow, you really take things so seriously!! Try not to feel so threatened all the time. Learn how to laugh, at others as well as yourself. No need to throw a hissy fit, I was just exchanging barbs. If you go back a few posts, this clearly wasn't one-sided. Fisherman mocks me, Bull calls me names and insults me all the time. It's no big deal at all.

Not only should you learn to read between the lines, but you also should learn to read, period. You completely mischaracterize things that I say - for example, where did I "forgive" anyone? Fisherman was the one who said he "forgave" me! LOL.

Relax, unbunch your panties and try and come up with some meaningful issues to debate, for a change. You get way too wound up trying to look for the bad in people who you target. Go eat some ice cream and watch some of your taped re-runs of "The View" to cheer yourself up!

Have a terrific evening!!

Lol! Threatened by you? No, I don’t feel threatened by confused people. And it’s really straight forward.

For instance, you tell me “…Not only should you learn to read between the lines, but you also should learn to read, period….” You immediately follow that up by saying “…You completely mischaracterize things that I say - for example, where did I "forgive" anyone? Fisherman was the one who said he "forgave" me! LOL….”

Did you forget to read between the lines? See, you’re so confused that now you don’t practice what you preach. It seems to be relative option for you to jump from one side to another depending on the situation. I’m trying to learn from you since you proclaim to be the smart one in Quantum physics (although you have yet to show anything to substantiate that.)

So I’d suggest you start wearing some panties. Being more comfortable might ease your God complex and help you think more rationally about others. Then you won't appear to be so blasphemous.

You're the one who constantly harps on others about mixing fact and opinion. But it's apparently OK for you to do so. LOL.

If you're referring to Obama - lately it seems like nothing's going his way. We probably need a good war to get everyone all on the same page and on his side again.

It'll be interesting to see how any sanctions against Iran work. I'm skeptical. He's let Ahmadinejad build up a run of ego-filled momentum, and it'll be hard to slow it down. But Mahmoud is cagey, and right now I think he's one step ahead of Obama. Time is on his side. The more time he has, the farther along their nuclear program can go.

Israel must be itching to just go in there and settle it, but I don't see how they can accomplish that without direct US military involvement.

I don't see Iran backing off, or Israel, so I think it's just a matter of time. This one could be the beginning of the end - not in a flash, but the one that starts things really rolling downhill fast.

Lanai is probably as good a place as any to be when the kaka hits the fan, although it's still within the target known as "the US."

Speaking of "targets," I've thrown out plenty of chum to attract all of the crabs here.

lol! Mixing an opinion and claiming it as fact?

Do you have an example? And I don't mean a shortened version with a clipping. Give me the post number and your complaint.
