Ever since the state of Hawaii outsourced its Medicaid services for the indigent population to WellCare and United Health Care , there has been nothing but chaos. Full Story

Jane: From one who remembers the 1960s violence and anarchy of the time, if the anger, rumoring and divisiveness doesn't stop, we are doomed to repeat it. When I was in Ohio, I happened to hear an Ohio Congressman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R) 4th district of Ohio, in a party line call to constituents, refer to Glenn Beck and the Heritage Foundation as THE authorities on issues. I thought HE and other Congress people were the authorities we should be hearing, from their own mouths, not these second hand interlopers.

Great...two "posts" Hey, how's that 8.0 tsunami coming, geniuses? We're spending $350 million a day chasing the Taliban, but when something happens here at home, we're broke.

You couldn't find a lie from Beck if you used a blood hound.

Dr. Pradeepta Chowdhury of Hilo is right on the mark re dismal & FORCED (NON) COVERAGE by DHS' Medicaid program for all QExA elderly and disabled adults, who were told they could choose from only 2 INFERIOR for-profit health maintenance organizations from the Mainland: Evercare & Ohana (don't let the name fool you) Health Plan. Not all island doctors enrolled with either plan, forcing low-income Medicaid clients to switch from doctors who knew them & their medical histories well, to physicians who enrolled as Evercare or Ohana health providers. Now, those poor doctors are discovering things are not as great as first presented by the Mainland companies. A lot of medical services and items are not covered. This is part of Lingle's & her cohort's (Lillian Koller's) scheme to privatize health insurance coverage, AT THE EXPENSE of the health providers & QExA clients. Rather than making things better, Lingle & Koller took giant backward steps & MADE THINGS WORSE. Progress? Money savings? I say... "Not!!" :(

Hurting yet? Let's move on to this one -- it's got a lot of words in it, so you may have to read something beyond the usual dozen or so that you get in a chyron:

Gosh, it's got to be hurting pretty bad by now. Here's one cockroach in the midst of a bunch of chickens. I'll give him credit for having the guts to go on the air after that little radio broadcast -- no brains, but guts:

Kudos must be given to you for using an "unbiased," "nonpartisan" source - FactCheck.org .

From Wikipedia:
" FactCheck.org is a non-partisan, nonprofit website that describes itself as a "'consumer advocate' for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics." It is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation."

BTW - what is all that "Annenberg" that we see there, and who is that "Annenberg Foundation" that funds FactCheck.org ? Where have we heard that name before...? Hmmm....

Doh! Now I remember!! The Annenberg Foundation was at the very center of the controversy surrounding Barack Obama's close ties to Bill Ayers, terrorist and co-founder of the Weather Underground. Obama and Ayers served together on the board of the Annenberg Chicago Challenge - Obama was president of the board - which is a branch of the Annenberg Foundation. Among recipients of funding from the board - Ayers' educational projects, and the now-infamous ACORN.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/07/obama....

It must also be a TOTAL coincidence that Factcheck.org was also chosen by the Obama campaign as the arbitrar of whether Obama’s birth certificate, which purportedly proves he’s a citizen of the United States, is authentic.

http://deathby1000papercuts.com/2008/10/obama...

Well, it's a relief to know that we can rely on the Annenb... I mean, FactCheck.org , for totally unbiased and nonpartisan monitoring of US politics. To be honest, all of its ties to Obama and Ayers had me concerned. But I know that we can totally trust Obama anyway!

Gee, then if that's the case then the republicans are fronting democrats and terrorists...

"...Walter Annenberg was perhaps best known in Britain as a well-liked American Ambassador to the Court of St James, with a penchant for circumlocution. But diplomacy was in truth only a sideline. For decades he was among the most powerful figures in US publishing and media, one of his country's richest men, a backstage powerbroker in the Republican Party – and a philanthropist whose generosity ran into the billions of dollars...."

I bet if we dig deeper we can find Annenberg at the center of these townhall ruckuses by the GOP too.

Wow. Glad you got your facts in order.

One more thing. See if you can find Lenore Annenberg on the list of McCain donors. She would be Walter's wife. I would venture to guess she's also a republican.

Funny isn't it how McCain would directly benefit monetarily from an organization with such a dubious past? But Obama didn't? Then again, McCain did accept money from a Texan who felt sex for a women should be to just lay back and enjoy it. Even when public opinion demanded he return it.

I knew that shibai about Annenberg and Fact Check was going to creep into the conversation here. If the fool who posted had looked, he (or she) would see just as many checkmarks against liberals.

But no! That would have ruined the FUD argument.

Did you know, Yeah, that the Foundation also supports the National Constitution Center in Philly? I suspect the dippy poster you responded to will assume that makes Annenberg a leftist organization.

Other than something wayward about a connection between Obama, Ayers and Annenberg Foundation, you really haven't prove anything was out of place with their fact checking about this lying idiot Beck (note:'idiot' is my term for Beck, not Annenberg's).

Can't you do better? Look into what else the Foundation does. Look into what else Fact Check has checked.

You are not very thorough and you leap from one idea to the next as if there were connections.

There aren't. You think you see them but that should not be enough for any rational person.

Ergo....

lol! It's not the truth they can't handle. It's the whole truth. Selective cherry picking of facts and figures.

I should have known better than to interject but I was working on something when this popped up and it was like putting a smoked ham in front of me and saying "don't touch." Couldn't help it.

What do you think the odds are you'll get a response on the topic and not an "ad hominem" attack as Gilligan's new buddy likes to say?

You know a post has hit home when it triggers SEVEN rapid fire responses from two apparent Lib apologists, without any intervening responses from anyone else. It conveys the distinct impression that they want to cover up the body before anyone else discovers it.

They get so flustered that they start doing sputtering, "one more thing" follow-up posts... then responding to each other in confirmation - a reinforcing sense of shared denial.

Lib Apologist #1: "This never happened, right?!"
Lib Apologist #2: "But do you think anyone saw that po...(gets kicked under the table by #1) Oh, I mean RIGHT, you're right! Nothing just happened, nothing at all!!"

Keystone cops cover up. Obama's web of lies is gradually being revealed. When it all eventually comes to light, even the hardcore LIbs will have a tough time accepting what they find.

"Web of lies." Is that the vernacular from your leaders radio broadcast?

It's astonishing to think that a KNOWN lie is responsible for the loss of thousands of lives, American & Iraqi, yet y'all remain mute on the subject.

lol! Poor baby. I guess it really irks you to see a well-to-do republican supporting a "terrorist" and a democratic president.

Begs the question: Is this republican really a republican? Or is he just a good human being? I profess he's the second. But you must hate that answer.
