Out of town residents sending their kids to our schools

Now that Keyport's school budget failed to pass it's time to start figuring ways to save money to avoid the dreaded cutbacks of service. Hmmmm, what to do first. Let's see. Why don't we go back to basics and start taking care of residents first! I know it seems like a simple request but it's not getting any traction yet. You see keyport schools have dozens of students attending classes that don't live in Keyport. There's certainly enough circumstantial evidence to this claim for the school board and other members of the school staff to start taking closer looks at registration information. Why do I have to comment on such an easy issue? I have no idea! To me the idea of allowing students that live outside of the town access to the school is beyond me. It increases the class size of some classes. It certainly hurts the school budget and I guess most of all because its FRAUD! When things are good in the world and money is flowing better we have a tendency to overlook indiscretions made by parents. But things are bad. Budgets are not passing and cutbacks in services are being threatened. The "Indiscretions" can't be overlooked or allowed. Friends and family are going to have to give other friends and family members the bad news. You don't live in town then your kid can't go to the school in town. Business is business and money is money.
