Same for rest of the state. Since alcohol is served just about everywhere it doesn't make sense to be armed in Key West, if you are into obeying the law. Florida prohibits carrying in any manner in a business that sell alcohol for consumption on premises. That leaves banks and government buildings but it against the law to carry in them as well. Unless you are just planning on walking around without entering any business then you might as well leave your gun behind in your hotel room.
KW is very secure place so long as you do not go looking for trouble.

Actually nor illegal carry in banks. As for establishments the law states fss790.06(12) any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose;
Pretty much means a bar is a no no. But a restaurant that serves alcohol is ok as long as the main money comes from food or anything other than alcohol.
