Nov 19, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: EDGE

A gay man in Florida apparently killed himself two days after Barack Obama was re-elected as president after telling his partner, "if Barack Obama gets re-elected, I'm not going to be around," the Miami Herald reports.

This is like a Jew committing suicide after being informed that the Third Reich had fallen.

Maybe he was a member of the GoProud crazies... for whatever reason, this poor man needed help and it wasn't JUST the election that made him want to kill himself.

Folks,
What is it about Florida that attracts mental illness on a epic level. Are they drinking swamp water? Bitten by some undiscovered prehistoric insect that make the loose their common sense or is it just the humidity?

What a TOOL. I was hoping it was FaFoxy, but he is still posting, sadly.

This was someone with far greater problems than whoever was president. It would have happened sooner or later.

Suicide is beyond selfish. It hurts the survivors more. It is the ultimate temper tantrum.

Why does ANYTHING oddball or nuts happen in Florida? I spent several miserable stays in Vero Beach visiting my aunt and uncle and they would take me to horrible diners where everyone had his or her feet on the table and smoked and were missing teeth. When I think of Florida, I think of those white trash places.

Also, my uncle would never turn on the air conditioner in the house or car. I was willing to walk to the airport in Melbourne to get out of that terrible place.

That's the seedy coast.

Panhandle is somewhat redneck, but less developed and much of it is unspoiled by overdevelopment.

Many parts of the west coast are very nice - it developed later and better. The East Coast mainly developed right after WW2 without controls and can be tacky, old and seedy.

Daytona, for example. Why the hell would anyone want to go there? The beaches are much nicer on the west coast...

He killed himself by overdosing on what I'm guessing were his own Xanax and Seroquel, he was a man with some pretty serious demons. It really doesn't matter which one finally beat him.

This is the dumbest headline I've seen since forever! I'm a realist. I'm willing to say what everybody knows, but are afraid to say. Truly, this guy & all his problems sounds like a suicide cocktail, & that includes being republican! The underlining factor that the world became blind to, or just tolerant of is he was gay. At first glance it may sound a little off, but if you look at it it lately statistically, all of the suicides televised nationally for the most part were gay. Look at thee college dude that video taped his gay roommate having sex with his partner. Do you really think he would've committed suicide if he were a straight man. Truth is we straight men probably would've not even stopped. As much as society has grown more comfortable with gay in america, the gay population hasn't & never will. They may be struck between a rock & a hard place, but inside morally they know it's not right. That is a demon rhett live with every second of every day. It grows on them so much it wears them down, this falling victam of the demon. It's only going to continue to increase thru time the more people normalize whats not not normal. Just my opinion !

Oh, I know it. I'm afraid I was being hyperbolic earlier. I had some more wealthy relatives who lived in Naples and that was one of the more lovely towns I have seen in my life.

If there was any demon at all, it was internalized homophobia. The worst enemy may be within. Why? He probably was from some real conservative religious background, or worse. Who knows what drove him? He didn't feel good about himself and that is what we are fighting, older gay men like me, to STOP the insanity of being told one is bad just because he got a different set of genes than his neighbor did.

What you & other peoples like you must understand is you are what you chose to be. 1st listen! If a gay man or woman feels bad about their situation, it's because inside they know they chose their fate. When a baby is born they're not born gay or straight. Honestly they are not born anything, they're dumb. Everything they become in life they learn. Learning is mental, of the mind thus making it a decision. Even school level kids 1st/2nd grade haven't made a decision yet. They see girls & boys the same, as friends. Somewhere along the line thru bad teaching or just a bad personal influencethe wrong decision was made. You can't fix what already happened, but you can correct it moving forward. Thee definition of insain is"to do the same thing over & over again & expect a different result ". You are'nt insain are you?

What, a homosexual can't be a fiscally conservative business person? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Look bro I ain't bashing you, thats your preference. I don't have to deal with it . All I'm saying is a straight man is not born like im fat women or skinny women it's a preference, thus making it a decision not a different gene. A gene is the easy way out. it's blaming God for your mistake. If there's a gay gene there's a drug dealing gene, but there's not. Its ones personal preference.

Okay smart ass, then how do's babies become who they are going to be? Yea like I said thru watching & learning & also guidance. As a parent it's your job to guide your child into what type of person you want them too be. If in their infant stages you allow them to make their own decisions, 9 times out of 10 they will make the wrong one. It's just like an ignorant child introduced to drugs. They know it's wrong, but temptation make them want to try it. Even after they know it's wrong they continue to do it because they learn to like it. You people want to make being gay about genetics, it's not! If a person chose to live celibate yet born with the same genes as a gay person, is he or she still gay even without making the decision to commit those acts? It's only 1 right answer. Anything else is you trying to bend the rules to fit your theory!

Whether or not a person "commits those acts" does NOT determine sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is about who you are attracted to. That cannot be learned. Pick up a psychology textbook. Learn something.
