Why is McDonalds hiring more people and cutting hours of people who already work there?

That is what large corporations do. They have to have many employed to fill in for all the people who call in. If they only give you 20 hrs you will make sure you come in every day scheduled. If they schedule you for 35 you can afford to miss. There are other reasons but they have to have people every day there to work. No, I don't work there. Not in a million years.

Partially due to the upcoming insurance changes of Obamacare. Corporations won't have to insure part-time help. Thanks, Obama.

My cousin works only 20 to 25 hours a week anyway and they still cut her hours.

Yeah, it's so wrong for our country to provide affordable healthcare for the majority of the unfortunate that have to work at places that only hire part-time. Hear the sarcasm? A very big thank you to Obama.

newsflash....most companies were dropping health insurance long time ago. Before obama care. Either that or making it so unafordable that people couldn't touch it.

I work in HR at one of Kewanee's largest emploers. People who work part-time need to prepare for this because Obamacare says if you work less than 20 hours a week, then the company is not 1) required to provide you with health care, and 2) is immune from government fees, fines and penalties related to Obamacare.

Free government healthcare isn't free afterall!

Newsflash, fukstick! No employer was ever required to provide health insurance before Obamacare. It's always been a "benefit" of working hard at a good job. Now that employers are REQUIRED to either provide health insurance to those working 20 hours a week or more, companies are simply going to slash hours and hire more retards like you to sell Big Macs and fries.

My...my touchie aren't we!!!!!!! Did you go to bhc...I can tell from your education. Not real smart and underemployed.
Let me guess..food stamps and welfare card, maybe!!!!!!!!

Me myself, I have never worked a job like that. Not saying it's all bad but just never done it. Have always had a good job making good money and health insurance.

Just in case you missed the newsflash, idiot. Health insurance is not the main reason for hours being cut.
The min. wage is going up and employers are not going to pay someone big money to sit around and text or talk to their friend at 9 to 10 bucks ar hr. The rate changes at certain age limits for wages. Be it a high school student or a person out of high school. The min wage is different.

With a potty mouth like yours, you will more than likey never get a good job.

F.Y.I. If they don't have some kind of plan in place for health care. Whos going to pick up the tab, when you go for some kind of care?
Hospitals and drs can't do this for free for everyone...forever!!!!
Then what college grad??????
By the way, I respect those people that deal with the public. Be it..flipping burgers or serving them....receptionous.
