Kewanee needs businesses that employ more than 2 or 3 people. With the mental capacity bestowed upon this town, we need ARC type assembly jobs. No one needs more jobs that just pirate from other businesses and offer something of non-intrinsic value that makes low level income spend their tax return, which they didn't earn, on N.I.V. items like clown shoes. If only meth production was legal and exportable to other states, Kewanee would be a gold mine!

Probably. Eric sold Finish Line to a couple of guys. Star Courier showed it. I can't imagine a business doing very well at that old gas station.

why on earth would he sell his business that he started and seemed to be doing well to start the same thing? Isn't he suppose to be friends with the guys he sold it to? I have bought a couple vehicles from him in the past and after my last one I would never deal with him again. I have never met someone that can look you in the eyes, smile and outright lie to your face!

You build up a business, sell it when it is valued high, and then do it all over again. It is a very common business plan. Kind of like flipping a house, but it just takes more time. I bet he hopes to sell customers from the very business that he just sold. The guys he sold it to should have insisted on a "no compete clause" first. Meaning, he can't own or operate a car dealership within so many miles, or certain amount of time.....ooops.

eric sold the business, lied about alot of things about the business, basically screwed the guys over. he is a liar, a cheat, and is untrustworthy. and they tried for a no compete clause-eric would not sign it, he is shady like that. so no oops there. he told them he would not compete against them in town. he said he would try to get into a new car dealership, guess he lied. again.

Wow. Ktown sounds like a bitter ex employee or forgot to take her meds. Those guys are professional enough not to discuss the details of a private business purchase with anyone. I have bought many vehicles from those guys in the past and will continue to in the future. You need to get your facts straight before you spread lies on here.

I know all three of those guys pretty well. I have bought 4 cars from them over the years and always gotten good service from them. I have overheard them talk when I get my oil changed out there and I thinks that the new owners are findin out theres a lot of work owning a business instead of just workin there. I will still buy cars from keith and eric. they are good people.

Eric has taken care of me and my family for about 8 years. I have sent dozens of my family and co-workers to him for years and has always taken good care of me and them. I cant wait for him to get his new place opened up, I need a new truck. He is the only dealer that I will ever buy from.

I needed a car about 2 years ago and went to all the local car dealerships and some out of town ones got the runaround and a bunch of high pressure crap. My last stop was eric at finish line and he was the only one that spent an hour with me talking about what I wanted, not what THEY wanted. He got me a great car with a payment about 100 dollar cheaper per month than anywhere else. He is honest and respectable. I will go to him next time I need a car. I sent my sister out to him last year and he saved her almost 2000 on a Malibu compared to one she saw in Galesburg. I hope he does well

Do not trust Eric! He will try to sell you anything he has, just because it fits your budget. I have dealt with him in the past. From what I have heard around town he promised the new owners of Finish Line a line of crap. He told them he wouldn't open a dealership in town, and yet here he is opening one on the southside. He was shady at Kewanee Motors(prob why he left), and now with the Finish Line deal. The two new owners Keith and Lance, are good guys, and seem to have the customers best interest. I haven't bought a car from them, but two of my family members have, and they have very good things to say about them. I hope they have the truck I want when Im ready to buy, which will be soon.

I had my car worked on at The Finish Line and it smelled of cigarettes so bad I will never take it back there.
