"Assistant" Manager.*At-first I felt sorry for the Mgr, but now I am siding w/management. This manager was probably too cheap to pay a second employee to be on duty at the time. Not that it's her money, but it IS her budget. This is one rule that was established for a good reason, and we see what happens when it is violated. This lady could have lost her life trying to save a few points. Firing was 'for cause'.
*not sure it changes your point, but many times, asst mgrs don't have any real authority when it comes to scheduling shift workers.
