I found this on Snopes: "I worked at Arby's in Boise Id. back in 2000, I was in charge of defrosting the roasts before we could cook them. They come packaged in clear plastic frozen solid, after a full 24 hrs of defrosting I would cut the bag open and put them on the trays. It is a paste which they squirt into the bag, its shaped like a roast because that's the shape of the bag, before its cooked you can see what is real beef and what isn't. Ingredients on the package said Water, Salt, Food-grade Phosphates, Beef(appx 5%), I'll never forget that, i was shocked when I first found out. I still ate it though, it actually tastes great!" Nice....

Nice.... yes correct , I forgot the name for that process , they do the same for other meats as well , makes the meat seem uniform , no visible fats FOOTNOTE: scallops if they are uniform [shape/size] it is punched from shark .... real scallops are all sizes

Actually, the way the meat is created is by using odd pieces of meat which are turned into a slurry( like a thick liquid), then it is put in bags and put through a cooking process of boiling and steaming. This puts it back in a solid form. IT was explained to me that to prove this think about the appearance of the meat. I'm sure you have had roast beef and turkey. Look at the meat. You can actually see the muscle tissue. Now look at Arby's roast beef. You will not see it. Thats because it was once a slurry and cooked into a solid mass. It's not just this restaurant. It is a standard process. You may even be able to buy meat this way in a grocery store. This was told to me by people in the foodservice industry who sell meat and have been in plants to actually see it done. Again, this is just what I have been told by a reputable source I do not verify the above for Arbys, however most fast food resturants do use this process for all of their meats. When I was in the food industry it was real roasts.

I can read and I am not dumb. Arby's is where those service-economy taxes and incomes come from, to pay for the toys of the Pentagon Bushman boys.

At Wendys, it's all pure beef, except for what the surly, grubby employees regularly add...

At-first I felt sorry for the Mgr, but now I am siding w/management. This manager was probably too cheap to pay a second employee to be on duty at the time. Not that it's her money, but it IS her budget. This is one rule that was established for a good reason, and we see what happens when it is violated. This lady could have lost her life trying to save a few points. Firing was 'for cause'.

I'm surprised that an adult would be able to get through an opening the size of the drive thru window...
