And Franklin gets the tax revenue. Amazing, isn't it?

It's in the City of Springboro - so the City gets income tax and it is in the Springboro School District, so they get the property tax.

Wrong. With that address, the property taxes will go to Franklin schools. Just like Kroger and the rest of that area. All those property taxes go to FRANKLIN, NOT SPRINGBORO.

Surely, Franklin cannot outsmart Springboro, can they?

An old agreement between the Franklin and Springboro school districts and the cities dictate that the tax revenue from those areas goes to Franklin. Great deal for Springboro, huh?

I don't have a copy. The agreement was in place before I moved to the city (1999). Call the school board. They will confirm it.

If this is correct, the Dayton Daily News should be reporting the move is to Franklin, not Springboro.
It might be interesting to see if the DDN runs a correction article.

This is the second business so far this week that has relocated from the Dayton area to "Springboro".

This is yet another good reason why Heatherwoode GC & the surrounding Heatherwoode subdivision were such poor concepts for that specific piece of ground.
If Springboro's leaders had instead chosen to construct a small SR741 by-pass around the east side (close to today's Richrd's Run) we'd not only seen the spawning of an attractive modern commercial district along this BP741 connector, but also we'd largely preserved the desirable antiquity of Olde Springboro because such a connector would have spared S Main St of much of toay's horrific traffic snarls.

Now, land is being irresponsibly developed along SR741 north of Easton Farm around DLM. Yippeeeeeeeee!
Springboro leaders, I certainly hope you're all proud of yourselves! About 15-20 years from now, much of this new development will begin to look like the abortion that is more commonly known as the Dayton Mall strip.
Visiters probably won't be able to FIND Olde Springboro while driving past all the empty boxes.
And Springborians will probably stop caring about Springboro and begin move further away to (future) up-start cutting-edge communities like Oregonia & Spring Valley.

Boy, that's the first time I ever heard anyone label Oregonia and Spring Valley as "cutting edge".

The businesses did move to the City of Springboro. I think people are confusing the City of Springboro with the Springboro Schools. Two different sets of boundaries.
