Is this guy a complete idiot? Yes. Should he be held accountable for his daughter's death? Definitely. But Second Degree murder?! You don't get that around here for deliberately suffocating your child. Something is wrong with our legal system!

Because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when you ssnd a couple of pre-teen kids off in just a coat and boots in sub-degree weather to walk 10 miles to reach their mother -- maybe that's DANGEROUS.
What an imbecile.

And they LIVED with him??? HE was the custodial parent?? Drug charges and NO common sense -- and the court figured he was the more responsible parent?
I hope there's a SANE relative to take the boy -- doesn't sound like either of these parents have both oars in the water.

This is one of the saddest stories I've read this holiday. I'm sure both parents are broken-hearted but it is hard to comprehend that anyone could be so stupid.

It may take awhile to bounce down to Youngstown.. mine if I unplug it will bounce to weird places south of me before it settles in
