The information is all wrong! Ketchikan didn't get its start from mining, that would be Juneau. Ketchikan was a Tlingit native village when the White men were lured there by its Salmon fishing. There is no longer a pulp mill or any significant lumber industry. Fishing is on the decline, mining has never been much of an industry in Ketchikan and the last big industry of tourism has a dismal future. Lastly there has only been one airline serving Ketchikan since the 70's and that would be Alaska Air.
