Mrs. John Zitz Dies at 62
Mrs. John D. Zitz, 62, resident of Ketchikan since 1922, died in her apartment home on Front street last night from heart failure after a brief illness.
Mrs. Zitz came here from her homeland of Yugoslavia to join her husband, who now is employed at the Ketchikan Cold Storage dock. In addition to the widower three sons survive. They are Val, local buyer for Oxenberg Brothers fish company; John, also of Ketchikan, and Nicholas, who lives in Seattle.
Although she had been ill for three days, her death was unexpected.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed early this afternoon.

Rosary services will be held for Mrs. John D. Zitz, who died Sunday night, at the Graham Funeral Parlors tonight at 8 o’clock. Father Dinand will officiate. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Zitz have not been completed pending word from Seattle on whether a son can come north for the services.

Funeral services for Mrs. John D. Zitz, who died here Sunday night, will be held from the Catholic church at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. Father Dinand will officiate. Burial will be made here.
