Shanna Rivers, are you not intelligent enough to have a dog house for your dog in the first place? Shame on you.

How kind of you-it's a shame there are not more people willing to do the same thing for their own animals!

So sweet! Thank you, Fox8, for not playing the Sarah McLaughlin song as background music. I wonder what the cost of materials were for the doggie house. This would be a great "Habitat for Humanity" project for animals.

Mr. Eddie its amazing how you can say Shanna Rivers is not intelligent for such an act when in the article it cleary explains her and her husband were going to purchase a doghouse. It just so happens their neighbor stepped in, god bless his sweet little heart. Mr. Eddie you have taken a beautiful news piece and corrupted it with your unintellectual comment. I'm sure if Mrs. River's husband was standing toe to toe with you I have a funny feeling you would choke and regurgatate on your words. Sleep well Mr. Eddie

Mrs Savocit- The dog is 2 years old, a dog house should have been purchased long before now. Common Sense.

I hope the dog owner doesn't have kids. Also the dog needs a longer chain to make full use of the dog house. Mr.Close looks like you will have to step in and buy the dog a longer chain.

in defense for Mrs Rivers ...one, the dog chain (JBO) is way longer then it appears on tv if Cypress ( the dog) choses to he could walk inside the house through the doggie door...with his chain on plus he has had a cage since she got him... (Mrs. Rivers)inside the garage... He has a big yard to run through but he tends to get out through the gate often thats why hes even on the chain... and I dont see what her kids have to do with but for your info her kids is the reason why she got the dog... but im sure you have all your ducks in a row.....

That was a really nice thing to do Chuck. Although the neighbors are thankful, I know that Cypress really is thankful and lucky to have you as a neighbor. More people should look after one another this way. Its the neighborly thing to do that you dont find much anymore.

If you dont have the time to spend with an animal or a safe and confined area, then why have a pet? A dog or cat to most pet lovers in an extention of their family. Quit being a dead beat and fix the fence so the dog can have a decent quality of live.

I dont think the dog was abused at all! He looks healthy and he is really cute! Through difficult times, we need eachother and this neighbor was very thoughtful. I dont think that people should be so hard on this family. Everyone goes through tough times and shouldnt be looked down on for something so petty. Thanks again Chuck for being an excellent neighbor!

I have never understood why people would get a dog just to leave them outside. Here's a thought...bring them inside, particularly when it is sub freezing outside. Thanks to the neighbor this animal will actually have a better chance at making it through the winter. How ignorant do you have to be as a dog owner?!?!
