One-in-five Americans are religious progressives, according to a new survey by the Public Religion Research Institute. Using a religious orientation scale that combines theological, economic, and social outlooks, researchers argue that while the number of religiously unaffiliated Americans continues to rise, a growing coalition of young, diverse, and politically-active Americans are connecting their faith with progressive values.

That's terrible. The religious and the progressives are the two biggest control freak groups in the US. Just imagine what nightmarish azzholes a blending of the two produces. Just imagine what a group like this would do with control, all for our own good of course. Because that's how they both roll.
Prohibition was a joint effort between progressives and the religious. Look how that worked out. Same with the early beginning of drug laws and marijuana bans. How's that war on drugs working out? Of course now progressives have moved on to big sodas and free speech and junk food taxes. Great job guys! Let's just do away with that pesky constitution and bill of rights while we're at it.
