Order limits Moffett Police to patrolling original township

Moffett Police have been limited to the originial Moffett Township by court order. via Sequoyah County Times

Most people don't have a problem with police presence. They have a prolem when police write up fake police reports, make up false charges, and demand cash to magically erase everything.

You people are talking about the police that where there years ago...most of your police departments where all doing that...It is old news go break the law in moffett today I will put money on it..it will be done by the book..and yes they still want cash...if you take it to court and you show you where with in the law you get your money back..just like any other department..

No bondsmen will wright a bond in small towns...next to another state it is a high risk of a jumper ..they spend more money to track them down...thats why Moffett wants cash so your fines are payed up front..you still have a cout date take them to court...its your right

every one is not 100% we are people we all make wrong moves..even the police but it does not make them bad people...if they get a drunk person off the hwy that could have killed them self or some one..and have to pay cash to get out of jail..so be it they live another day..you all have to look over the hill..get over the hill and look..the police have to be out there..Moffett was out there every day..no one is out there today..people will die and you will wish the police was out there then

JTS..you talk about justice system fighting back ..you my friend are looking at the wrong justice system..the police at Moffett today are good cops..the ones trying to get them off the hwy have very strong ties to that bar on that hwy..some of the county reps and state reps need money for up comming races...its all about money in Sequoyah County

did you know Mr. Bud (state rep) worked for the town of Roland..and when Roland was taken off I-40 Bud is trying to get Moffett kicked off the hwy so he can get Roland that hwy they two are running out of money..Mr. Bud needs money Roland pays Bud Money ...Bud drove a Roland city car for years..Roland is not making money now that they are off the I-40..when all this is over Roland will have that hwy all the way in to FT Smith and every one will be stoped and fined.. 1 or 2 over the speed..they do it all day long

you all dont even know..but I do think it is not as bad as it will be when it is all over...Moffett police has a very small sales tax and the state makes them keep in line..BUT ROLAND on the other hand dont..does not have to keep there tickets down thay can wright them all day all week all year long...MR. BUD needs money..They two take cash to get out of jail...I think Roland has been in the paper more then Moffett... when they get that hwy.....stay clear thats all I have to say

In the last two yeas I have not read nothing bad about Moffett Police...every thing every ones talking about is what hapened years ago..I know they have fixed it..Moffett was out on the hwy they where taken off the other day keeping the traffic down because of a crash..Moffett stayed out there for 31 min..before the first OHP got there..what if you where bleeding dying in a car and it took the people that is working that hwy 31 min..to get there..you die..took Moffett not even 1 min..think about that what do you want

I hope Moffett keeps that hwy..the people out there can help...if you called to give Moffetts police chief your bitch he will fix it..If you got pulled over and was not treated right call and bitch get it fixed..there cops they have now have all been to school.. they have cops that have been in law for years..its not the same ones from years ago..I was told that one of there officers arrested one of the old officers before..they up hold the law people

I Have read all the comment s and I agree that the Moffett Police Officers are good people and should be respected for all the good things they do. They now patrol a 1/4 mile of town limits. And they have all done nothing wrong in any way, I know that the police had a bad rep at one time, in the past! Not present, the people that do wrong by breaking the law is the ones gripping and making moffett look bad, its not the cops doing wrong its the druggies and drunks. It seems like the druggies got more rights now than a COP does, it makes me sick to see Moffett off the Highway.....

all of you people have no idea what went on in moffett, and yes i do. i was a cop there, i was the brother of the mayor, i was raised there. i went to school there, i lived there.what a shame what happened there, it makes me so sad

I guess you guys missed the story about the FBI investigating Moffett and Roland. Both towns' police departments were shut down during the investigation. And now this.
There seems to be a lot of misinformation here. The town itself is a lie, they falsified their property lines to get the property next to the highway annexed against the wishes of the landowners, and they have no legal right to patrol Hwy 64. That's why they aren't patrolling there as of a couple of months ago. They got a back door annex in the seventies from a corrupt court clerk and have been operating a kangaroo court every since, writing tickets illegally and pocketing the money. This has been going on for years, and if you live anywhere near here and haven't heard about it, you haven't been listening.
The town of Moffett is now in bankruptcy proceedings because their speed trap got taken away and there is no more ticket revenue coming in. A perfect example of what comes around goes around. The town is nothing but a slum of rent houses and auto salvage yards.

they used to pull over anyone who came out of a well known adult store called "Outer Zone". I remember seeing the picture of the Moffett evidence building and there was nothing but a table with unused smoking devices. they'd plant seeds on guys who just went in the store to buy porn. glad they can't harass us anymore.

What is sad is that your brother put your home town almost a quarter mil in the hole. What really went on is corruption and greed. Very sad indeed.
That place should be leveled like the lower ninth ward in New Orleans. Too bad there isn't a levee that could be breached to wash Moffett clean.

I have worked at many oklahoma police depts in that area...including moffett...
