Based on TSSAA new district would be: Halls, Lake CO, Union City, Greenfield, Peabody, Humboldt, and South Fulton. Tell me how many wins we can expect in district?

<quoted text>No don't forget Gibson County will be dropping down a class in all sports next year! That is the big selling point now in football and baseball! Wow what a selling point! We can not win playing with real fooball teams in high school so we are all happy about dropping down a class?! Should just drop them down to Junior High maybe could win a game there? Happy to drop down a class SO SAD!
So let me be sure I understand all u morons complaining because GC is dropping to single A. You all think that we should not be competing against teams our own size, instead you all think we should be playing schools 2-3 times our size. GC has just over 400 students and is shrinking each year, Obion Co and Covington have over 1100 students, where Dyersburg and Westview are both in the 700 range. I guess you same morons don't realize that Peabody, Humboldt, Union City, Huntindon and Dresden are all in single A also, last time I checked those were some pretty good programs. If Cruze can make us copetitive in that group, I for one will be pretty excited.

Yes they do. It is called touch football. Are you sure GC should put them on our want to play list? I am not sure we could beat them?

possible wins in the new district will be halls, lake co., greenfield, and south fulton for 2013. humboldt could be a maybe. scheduling 3 non district teams like fulton city, tipton rosemark, middleton would be good opponents to get the program moving in the right direction with some wins. i don't see milan and s. gibson on the schedule for next year.

They will be dumba$$s not to schedule SOUTH GIBSON HS EVERY YEAR. It is the biggest rivalry and a huge financial win for both schools. No way they don't schedule SGCHS!

Lake County is too athletic and Halls is improving every year. Greenfield and South Fulton are only wins in district.

Milan or Dawg or Pioneer Alumni or whatever you want to post as today....Stop posting until you have a clue what you are talking about.

Trenton and Union City are losses.
Halls, Greenfield, and S. Fulton are definitely games Gibson can win next year.
Lake County is a good possibility...they aren't that athletic.
Humboldt is a maybe.
Not saying they will win all these but they should be able to compete and have opportunities to win at least 1 or 2 district games. Scheduling some easier teams for the other games would be a smart move.
If I was the coach I would not schedule Milan or South Gibson. Money? Thats funny. The program needs wins more than money at this point. They would be dumbass to schedule South Gibson, Milan or any team that had more than 1 or 2 wins in 2012.
I went to a couple of Gibson games this year and the coach seems to be heading in the right direction. Much better staff than the previous couple of years.
Playing schools your own size will help alot to.

I might be wrong but I don't think GC has ever beat Humboldt. They beat Peabody like once back when I was in school. Lake County use to have lots of black athletes. I saw Halls beat the crap out of the pioneers.

Your comments reveal 2 things about you...

#1 You have no clue. It doesn't matter if they have never beaten Humboldt or Trenton. They still have a chance to get a win. I don't think they will beat Trenton next year and I think Humboldt is a maybe at best....but the past doesn't determine who wins games. Just ask Vanderbilt and UT. Not sure when Halls beat the crap out of Gibson. Actually, Gibson is 4 - 2 over the last 6 years against them. Last year should have been a win but the old coaches blew the game with dumb decisions. This year was not as close but wasn't a beat down by any means. Unsure as to when you are referring. Again, you have no clue.

#2 Assuming that Lake County has lots of African American players and those players are athletic because of their skin color reveals that you are a racist.

Please stop posting your uneducated tired racist crap under all your dumb pseudonyms. You are just not that good at it.

1. You are the coach
2. I guess winning by beating terrible teams like those you listed will make you look good so you can get the heII out of a bad situation. What good is a win if it's against some piss poor team? I would rather lose to South Gibson than beat Fulton City.
3. When you leave I hope someone like Lownsdale or Essary is hired to replace you.

Good luck to GCHS. I have found memories of my days there. Medina is not playing you any more and I think thats a shame. We came out of GCHS but I guess we're too good for you to play now? Anyway sorry.

Halls beat us the last 2 years. We didn't play them the previous four years. Besides, we haven't won a game since October of 2008 including this past year which may have been the worst team in school history.

Again, you don't have a clue.
"You must be the coach"....Is that the best you got? I'm sure the coach doesn't give a shit about your stupid posting on here. But for the record I am not a coach of any team. Actually, I am an alumnus and fan of another team. Just keep up with football in general and pay attention. You obviously don't.

Before you run your pie hole about Gibson's scheduling you should take a look at South Gibson's non district games the last two years. JCS, TCA, West Carroll?? S. Gibson is not really taking on the toughest competition out there are they? How much bigger is S. Gibson than those schools? I assume they are looking for easy wins, huh? Wouldn't it be better to lose to Dyersburg or Covington that beat Trinty Christian?

Gibson played Halls in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008. Won each one of those games. Again, you have no clue as to what you are talking about.

You just look dumb with your posts on here. With all your pseudonyms and stupid comments...it is laughable.

We have not won a football game since October 2008. This past season was the worst I've seen in a decade.

Tommy rae 'cruce' the big difference is back then GCHS had 890 students in high school. Halls and GC is about the same size today but not in 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008. Halls dominated the pioneers in week one and went to the second round of the playoffs. GC will lose most starters this year and unless You can talk some basketball players into coming out (where the boys of color play) we won't beat Halls next year.
In 2008, we had a full freshman team and about 64 varisty players. This year we dressed less than 26. You better find some more talent.

Gibson has never had 890 students. The most they ever had was around 650.

The mighty Halls team won over Gibson this year. They didn't beat them down and dominate like you pretend. Actually, this awesome Halls team's opponents had a 10 - 48 record collectively. With 5 of those 10 wins belonging to a mediocre Lake County team. Halls really had tough competition didn't they? Man that's a mighty good Halls team there that you keep referencing.

If this team this year was the worst you have seen in a decade then you didn't see any games the previous two years and you don't know anything about football. This team was very much improved over the year before.

I doubt Gibson has ever had 64 players on a team. Stop making shit up.

Gibson needs more talent and size on the field no doubt. They need a favorable schedule (like the almighty Halls team had this year) and to win at least a couple of those games. They need a coach to push them to toughen up and improve which I believe they now have.

But what they need most is to break the quitters mentality with the students. Have you ever notice that all the Gibson's boys teams aren't that great. There are so many boys making excuses at that school. You know the ones that won't play with excuses like ... it's too hard, it's too much work, I might get hurt, they don't win, that's too much exercise, I play another sport, Mama doesn't want me to play, etc.

Oh, they also need assholes like YOU that were too big of a pussy to play when they were in high school to stop their little girl whining and support their team. Just sayin..

Coach: You need to talk to more of the old timers before you start running your mouth. The 650 number is what it was just two years ago. You may not know this but South Gibson was split OUT of GCHS and before that happened our numbers were much higher. The sports teams were larger and every classroom was filled. We even had portable classrooms out back. Maybe you need to go get your facts straight. On the case of your team being the worst in school history, ask the two previous athletic directors or the previous booster club leaders. I'm not the only old Pioneer who thinks like this. Heck, ask some on your staff. The best coach we ever had at GCHS is in the TSSAA hall of Fame. He lasted one year at GCHS. How long will you last?
