I agree we need jobs in the city/county but helping the victims of Sandy, or any disater, is the right thing to do. We are Americans.... we help each other and truley anyone, anywhere, in their time of need. We band together in adverse times...
I believe jobs are important to the mayor but when our fellow Americans are hungry, cold and without power shouldn't we take a few minutes and help them first???
I hope your post was a method for you to vent and not your belief that we should not care..

I think the victims of hurricane Sandy have had plenty of donations from all over. Listen to the news! Relief aid has been pouring in. I agree that we should help those in need, but start at home. How many children here in Hardin county are in need?
Do people realize the logistics involved in all the donations? There are expenses, like lining the pockets of the heads of all the organizations involved. If the victims are still in need with all that's been donated what happened?
Mayors in Hardin county need to think about whats needed close to home instead of trying to make a name for themselves. Especially when so much is needed here.
