Wow how the house of cards is starting to fall. It's starting to show how school board members made decisions based on personal agenda instead of whats best for the school district. This all started when Mr. Ralston was hired in as super. when the school district already had a super. So for 6 months USV paid for 2 supers. The once in office Mr. Ralston started making all kinds of decisions without out approval from the school board. The school board would meet and cover up these decisions by approving them retroactivly.
It has come out recently in an investigation that what the school board and Mr. Ralston are doing is un-ethical, im-moral, and possibly criminal. How in the world can Mr. Ralston lie on his payroll about being at work when he clearly wasn't. Mr. Ralston got paid for working when he was in the hospitol, then at the end of the year turn in to the school board that he did NOT miss any work for being sick and get a bonus??? When the state came and and clearly made the school board aware of what he was doing they just ignored it. When the treasure told the school board that they needed to cut spending what did they do....ignored it and just kept right on spending the tax payers money. I can not believe the support the people of that district have shown the school board and Mr. Ralston. These people should be removed from their postion and charges brought against them for mis-appropriation of public funds. Now the latest numbers show the district must cut 600,000 to 800,000 dollars out of next years budget. How many teachers are going to be laid off because of the school board and Mr. Ralstons actions. Who gonna suffer now. The school district better get this situation under control or the state will come in and take over. When the state takes over you will not have any say on how the school is run. How in the world can you justify paying Mr. Ralston 122,000. dollars a year is beyond me. Thats more then any super. in the area and all he as done is put the district in the hole 600,000 to 800,00 and the board just follows him. Congrads to Mr. Ralston and the USV school board for running the school right into the ground!!!!

Here's the thing; Before Ralston, the board came to us every 6 months begging for more money at the ballot box. Since Ralston, they have not tried to force any levies on us. My son goes to USV and I think Ralston has done good for the district. I understand some of his methods are unethical, but it's had to argue with what he's done.

That psychotic guy... Bowzer; he is still listed on the website as assistant superintendent. Didn't he resign? He's not coming back is he? He is an old buddy of Rolston's and is probably the reason Rolston is in hot water with the auditors.

Rolston has borrowed from the future without any way of paying for it. He does not care because he planned on being gone before the bill came due. He has been constantly applying for jobs his whole time at USV. What employer would allow their employee to name his salary and who will get his job when he decides to leave like USV did. Time to stand up and be counted because the future does not look bright. 800,000 being cut from this budget will destroy this school.

I for one believe that rolston and his bunch have destroyed our school. It was a great day when Moots stepped down but now the whole board and sup need replaced and i feel that no family should be hired back in thats the schools first fault. Way to much family in this school. the school has been taken advantage of by family members big time.

So he's done so much that now we need to cut $800,000.We didn't need to get levies when we are doing unethical things and now our children s education will suffer. You do the math..How many teachers do you think will need to be cut to fill that $800,000. Just because the school looks good doesn't mean anything. People need to realize that looks don't mean anything. This is a school!! You know where you go to get educated!!!!! USV was an excellent school by state report until Ralston came now it is a continuous improvement.Let's start worrying about the kids education and not what the DAMN school looks like!!!!!!!!!!

He hasn't asked for a levy since being here? Thats your response? Are you kidding me? Who do you think is going to foot the bill now? 600,000 to 800,000 short, how many teachers do you think will have to be cut to come up with that kind of money? Unethical? Unethical? How about illegal? Mr. Ralston and all those school board members that just looked the other way when funds were being spent in-oppropriately better start looking for a lawyer.
It sounds like the new board president has some common sence and is starting to see just how screwed up things are. There are soo many employees in made up positions it is crazy. All the aides that were just hired; gone. The new teachers that were just hired; gone. There are teachers there that don't even have classrooms they just float around helping others; thats over. Good chance pay to play will be coming back. And you can look for a levy to be put on the ballot, because once all the smoke clears, the tax payers and property owners will be stuck paying Mr. Ralstons bills. I just hope he gets some charges so the property owners don't get stuck paying for his retirement based on his outragous 122,000 a year salery!!!!!!!

Everybody needs to realize how much better a place USV is now than it was before the new administration came in. They offer so many more great educational programs and more opportunity's for everyone in the community. They are also actually in better financial shape than before. People would know this if they would quit believing what they hear in the coffee shop and actually go to the school and make an appointment with the administration and sit down and get the facts. I know they would be more than happy to do this because i did it myself. We have more opened enrolled kids coming to usv than ever. We have better scores on test than ever. We have a better moral throughout the whole school than ever. We have better athletic programs than ever. Other schools and even colleges are calling us wanting to know if they can get into our renewable energy programs. I can go on and on. Everybody needs to quit whining and listening to the few upset people that do not like change and realize that USV is no longer at the bottom of the barrel and is heading to the top. If we all come together and work together USV will be a great place for years to come.

I agree with everything you just said except for the athletic program. The athletic program is not better than ever. The mid 90s were great and currently USV doesn't hold a candle to them

. Oh the roses are in bloom with all this Bullsh*t being spead. In better financial shape then before? 600,000 to 800,000 being cut from the budget. What else would have had to be cut if Rolston would of spent the money changing the multipurpose room into 4 classrooms without board approval, another 250,000. Maybe next he will give himself another 30,000 raise. Ethics violations be damn, we got a good school.

Any and all cuts that will be made are due to reduced funding from the state and federal government, not due to anything the board and administration have done. As far as I know the actual numbers haven't been released yet so we don't even know for sure and if you listen to other schools talk about it we are in a lot better shape than most because most are preparing for a levy which we have not had and are not asking for
