And I will gladly go to court and swear under oath what happened to me and how odd I thought it was. Too bad I don't have a receipt to prove I was there, lol. It is my belief that they are required to give a receipt with the sales tax listed.

Are you going to take LMBO with you since you are most likely the same person?

You having a receipt does not negate the fact that I didn't get one, and of course, I still want to know why.

Oh by the way, I didn't call my Ins. Co. about my tires. There is a fancy Ins. word called Subrogation, it happens everyday somewhere. It's where your Ins. pays for your claim, and then goes after the guilty 3rd party.

I'm an idiot, I admit it. I just realized that Common sense is most likely all the posters who have been making comments. I originally thought she was only LMBO because they spell slander the same way. Turns out they all use the same hyphen like it's a comma, even LMBO. What are the odds of all the posters having that quirk?

Lady- you are weird.

If you have proof - which I do. Your fault that you do not. I can prove what I purchase, how much I paid & when If I do not get a receipt - I ASK FOR IT. Lots of businesses forget to give them. I need my receipts for warranties, house & car insurance, medical bills, prescriptions, tainted food or recalled merchandise. My receipts have saved me many times by having proof. Some of the receipts can be used for personal or business taxes. It is also a way for me to budget my money so I can save more.

I have learned many lessons in life & that is why I am so anal about my receipts. Food poisoning from a restaurant - no receipt, they are not liable. Unless you can prove it. Used merchandise - If I can not get a receipt, then I know to use at my own risk & usually no warranty.

I have learned throughout the years, that no one has my best interest a priority except for myself. I have had valuable mistakes that cost me plenty. That is why I keep them. File for each year. Dispose of the receipts, I no longer need.

When I sell items, the receipts & warranties go with the items. I get better prices for items because they can tell I am anal about the maintenance & upkeep from my records. I even document all phone calls relating to personal business, another lesson I had to learn the hard way. All the notes can be used in a court if problems arise.

I am sure they do quailty work and sell quality products and they are fine church goin, donate to everything, take in stray cats people. BUT the shop looks dirty and that sends a message. If I have a choice, and what do you know I do, I go to a shop that looks clean and well kept. As far as money, I don't care if they pay their taxes or burn it. Not my concern. A dirty, cluttered space conveys a message, now if it does not to you, maybe that should tell you sumthin,,,,,

And to be honest it's not that I don't like you or your friends, it's just I don't care one way or the other about you/them. You all bother me about as much as a cloudy day.

If you have a business it's your choice the face you chose to put forth to the public. They made there choice as did you.

you said you always get receipts for new tires and none for tire fixes that means you have done business there nore than a few times, but your on here complaining about a receipt for a tire fix, I would think a tire altered in any way would void the warranty and that would include having them plugged or patched. As someone else said if you don't think a patch or plug is safe then buy a new tire and you would get a receipt for it, I have had 2 new tires patched and never had a problem with them for the rest of the 40-50 thousand miles.

I'm trying to figure out why I have never gotten a receipt for flats. Interestingly enough, I've gotten a receipt for new tires. This isn't completely about proper book keeping. It's also about evidence. If my damn tire blows out after it's patched how will I even prove I was in a tire shop? My insurance company would be pissed because they are the ones who would go after Any tire shop if the tire was the cause of the accident. This isn't fast food lady, it's what my family is riding on every time we get in the car. Do you have any other plausible reasons?
If this is so this means you been there more than once.

It never ceases to amaze me the logic of a 40+ mile round trip to save "a few bucks". There's no way I'll be convinced that the money saved is more than the cost of gasoline used for the trip.
In theory,I suppose there are some hybrids that can make the trip cost efeective, but most of the vehicles in this county won't do it.
Also consider the fact that buying locally keeps sales tax money & jobs in the area.
Let's see when I go to Lima I buy my groceries Sams, cheaper gas I fill up and go to Lowe's beats any price the Ace hardware lol or go to Menards. Best part eat out with so many choices. Now after all that savings I be stupid to buy in Kenton or go to there hospital so you tell me who is stupid
