On the Kenton Today website today, it says about Jessica Williams:
"...to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and five types of prescription drugs."

Yes.."prescription". ..she is not charged with any drug related offense from the incident yesterday afternoon. the call came from someone who knew she had a warrant which would cause her to be arrested. She was not anywhere outside at the time.

If there was a warrant, then she should have been picked up. She could have chosen to turn herself in.
Good job Kenton police.

I dnt think any of them really do and can be the same person even after there out of jail or prison.Seems like soon as they get back into society there back to acting the same way.Trying to ruin everyone else's lives cause they cant get what they want.Things just never change for alot of these drug addicts!!

I know there are addicts everywhere but as a parent in this community seeing this same activity going on has made me and my husband start to look for new homes out side of Hardin county! We are sick of seeing this day in and out in our community!
Isn't there a law anyway about landlords renting to drug offenders?
Yep

Prison will never change a drug addict. only the addict can choose to change. prisons are flooded with just as much dope as there is in kenton. and there is no law stating that a landlord cannot rent to drug offenders. that is simply up to the landlord.

it wasn't the kenton police work that captured her. she's been running around kenton for months. someone made a bogus call to the 911 dispatch saying she was intoxicated or overdosing because they wanted her out of the picture for the moment. but you people seem to know everything. funny how you sound so stupid with your thirsty ears and loose tongues.

This problem is everywhere, Not just Hardin Co. So you may find it even worse elsewhere. With very few jobs available this is an end result of a bad economy.

Sounds like Jessica Williams might have died if someone hadn't called the dispatcher. They might have done her a favor. What about the other people? Were they prescription med abusers or was it cocaine or heroine something else?
Dustin Sams, Lindsey DeLong, Valerie Cole, Danielle Joseph
I believe that their parents had a role in these abuses by not being strict enough with their children as they were growing up. When they are allowed to do whatever they please, they grow up entitled without respect for authority and laws.
Consequences for these behaviors need to be more harsh.

There are jobs, actually quite a few of them. The problem is the junkies can't/wont stay clean to pass the drug test, and get or keep the job. Also many of them don't want to lose the money they were getting from selling drugs. Why make idk $150.00 a week when you can make $500 doing less than what you did to get $150.?

Also I know a few addicts, and they couldn't really get a job sober if they wanted to, their educational backgrounds a very lacking to say the least.

Many of them can barely read, write, etc. Some of them have horrible teeth, bad dressing habits, the IDGAF attitude, tattoos on their faces, piercings from here to kingdom come, etc. All things potential (sp) employers look down on.

I agree 100% sounds like some one done her a favor! But I know first hand sometimes parents are not always to blame. I have a family member that had issues and it had nothing to do with the patents they done everything the could of done and still are. The addicts need to stay away from other addicts so they can get better and obviously she was not in the right place. I hope all of these users will realize they r digging there own grave and the horrible experience for there family's! I am very close to a family who lost a child to drugs! It is nothing to mess around with. I am always seeing more and more names I recognize in the paper n it's sad! It's in our neighborhoods and around our children we need to all stick together to protect out children and the users and report when we see activity.

I still think it goes back to the parents. I knew not to cross my parents because I would dislike the consequences. A parent must be diligent and consistent in their discipline and children must know on a daily basis about appropriate behavior. This is not a easy task and many parents just give up, but it can be done.

Is this former probation office Mike William's daughter? I sure hope not cause she was darling as a little girl. These drugs have got to be taken out of our town...it's went on way too long. Are neighborhood watch groups helping at all?
