Capri Pizza will not deliver to my street, and there is no record of violent crime on our street, but we are surrounded by "bad" streets.

Mel, be glad that I don't set up a boycott of your business.

Good going Akron Police Department. Nice arrests.

Now if only **** Mayor Don P would add the additional 39 officers you need to bring the police force back up to full staffing.

Joe Finley knows how to get to full staffing of the police department.

Vote for Joe Finley in 2007 !!!

Hopefully with more officers out on the street more of these thugs will be captured and removed from our society.

I am glad APD caught these criminals but they need to do a better job at following the law as they do enforcing the law. I have a friend that lives on Eastgay where one of the robberies took place. It was a Sunday evening after dinner when my friend, who works for the police dept, her son, and granddaughter who has never been in trouble with the law, and have jobs and one goes to college heard a loud knock at the back door. APD told them to open the door before they kicked it in. When they did APD had their guns drawn and escorted them into the hall where they searched the home without an explanation of what was going on, not to mention they didnít have a search warrant and wasnít given permission to come in. My friend didnít dare say anything in fear of being hurt, or arrested for speaking their mind. When the officers were done, they didnít apologize for treating them like criminals they just went on with their day.

Not all cops are bad but not all them are honest, and law abiding either. She is mandated by the City to live in the city but then she is treated like a criminal because of where she lives.

Something has to give!

Good job APD. I enjoy reading my home town streets getting cleaned up. Now start going after all the drug labs and dealers out there. I agree, we need more cops. It makes me sick when I come home from Iraq and see my streets unsafe because all the drug heads have moved in. Maybe I should go out and apply?? Wait never mind, youíre not hiring!
Why not Don?

The parents of these delinquent "gangsta's" are to blame, plain and simple. If they would have had the intelligence to raise their children right then this neighborhood we live in would most definately be a better place. Until then I have no choice other than to carry a gun, a knife, pepper spray, and a cell phone at all times.
I hate all of you little punk ass wanna be's out there that walk around with no respect for nothin and think jail time is nothing more than initiation into whatever "click/gang" you hang with. You'd better watch out from here on out. Im shootin to kill if you invade my sanctity.

The parents are not always to blame. You can raise your children the "right way" and they can be easily lead astray. However the "protical"(sp) child always will come back home. I hardly ever read the postings because someone is always pointing fingers at someone else or making everything a race issue. The truth is we need to examine ourselves and make sure that we are helping the community that we are involved in what is going on not only in our childrens' lives but in our community. It takes a village to raise a child. I do not care what anyone has to say in regards to my comment. "Let he without sin cast the first stone."

Did I miss the obligatory "But they're good boys" comment by friends, family, what-have-you?

I hate when I miss those.

These street thugs need a good old fashioned beat down. I would have loved if these scum bags would of robbed an off-duty cop or citizen with a CCW permit. That would of been a great article to read, "pizza robbers get shot and killed by normal citizen legally carrying concealed pistol".

There's a reason for everything im not saying there not guilty but dont pen point Bruce Neal as the "Ring Leader" if you really dont have any proof. He didnt make these people particapate in anything they did it willingly. Bruce is a good kid hard working and a college student, did you do reaserch on that??? NO. Because the system is so quick at pointing fingers and not hearing what anyone has to say. Did they do any research into why they did it??? No because they're narrow minded and they only see skin color. Now if these were white kids do you think they'll be doing hard time like this i think not. I know for a fact he didnt plan this it was forced upon him.
