Moving back to Kent

It's been some years since I've lived there but I was wondering. I understand with classes starting this fall apartments will be going fast or will already be gone. What is the best time to get a good deal on an apartment during the fall season?
Moving from the south back up north to reconnect with loved ones so I'll need something affordable compared to student pricing.
Thank you,
DCT
