Pre-Run Stretching Doesn't Prevent Injuries: Study
Runners who stretched before running were no less likely to get injured than runners who didn't bother to stretch, new research finds.

I will wait to see a bigger study and with more vigorous activities before I rule out stretching in my routine. Everyone's body is different, for me stretching makes me feel better and less achy. Recently I started using a foam roller which does wonders - more than static stretching to prevent and heal injuries of all types.
