San Pablo police shoot, kill carjacking suspect in Richmond

I do not understand why a cop needed to shoot and kill a human being running away from them, who was not reported to be shooting at or threatening the police. Are police now allowed to kill someone they cannot catch? this is just as bad as Oscar Grant, and I hope there is an outpouring of rage and demands for answers in this case. Sadly, I am guessing that will not happen, because this situation is barely making news.

Why don't you wait til all the facts come out dummy? Real quick to blame the cops aren't you? What we do know is these PUNKS had guns, had shot at the people they hijacked the car from, lead police on a high speed chase (endangering every other person on the road!) and then crashed the car and ran from cops. The cops called for reinforcements from the all police agencies in the area. You think the cops are going to wait in the dark until they get killed by a punk like this? Comparing this to the Oscar Grant case at this point is ludicrous beyond belief! sam is right! these thugs carjacked people with guns, and we expect the police to go out and play nice with them; give me a break! simply put, if he had surrendered and taken responsibility for his actions, he'd be sitting in juvenile hall right now hopefully making positive decisions that will redirect the rest of his life, but he didn't. he ran, presumably armed, and started a confrontation with police officers who are sworn to protect. sad situation, but we can't demonize the police for this one!

This happens to be a place where we ALL can express our opinions on issues of the day. It's NOT a court of law nor is it a memorial site for violent criminals. You have to realize that most of us are totally fed up with these punks and thugs that make it unsafe to even go out in the street in daylight in many areas, let alone at night. This was not a little "mistake"! Armed carjacking, shooting at people, leading the police on a high speed chase (endangering other people!), crashing into other cars, running from the police and refusing to stop and comply with police orders are serious criminal offenses. If you think the cops are going to wait until some armed punk shoots them first (like that scumbag c***sucker in Oakland that shot three cops when they tried to apprehend him!) you better think again! I live in Richmond and never did a crime in my life, I did waste my mind in my youth but studying hard and I became a hard worker paying taxes to support thugs live your cousin. I came home shopping and in front of my house drug dealers decided to do their shooting between each other in cars. One of the vechicles of thugs decided to aim his laser light on his automatic assault riffle at me. Pointing it into my eye and then shot four bullets at me (my head). As of this day, I have been affected by the actions of these wasted mindless thugs. I'm glad the cousin is dead and the police got him off the streets permanently. To stop all this criminal activitity I think the parents should be prosecuted and pay the and serve time to pay for the therapy for the victims, replacing the stolen car and crashing into the parked car. They should also pay for the wages of the police officers on paid administrative leave and their therapy for shooting a 16 year old. If this is the process of dealing with juveniles committing crimes like caring a guns maybe the parents will start doing their jobs in raising their children properly. To be honest the police should be knocking on the parents doors and asking them how their kids optained the guns. CPS should be taking the other children in the household because the parents are unfit. I can fully understand your anger towards these punks and thugs that make your neighborhood and your city of Richmond a cesspool of crime and depravity.
