YOU KNOW I HAVE HAD QUESTIONS TO REGARDING THIS CHURCH.MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN IN CHURCH AND HAVE TRIED TO GET ME TO VISIT AND SO I DID.. THIS IS WHAT I SAW THERE...ALONG WITH LARRY, SOME OF THE SAME PEOPLE WHO WERE PLAYING MUSIC WITH WORDS AND STYLE OF MUSIC TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DOWNING A FEW MORE DRINKS AND GETTING CRAZY ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND AT TIMES PLAY THE BLUES SO I COULD LEAVE DOWN AND DEPRESSED WERE THE SAME ONES I SAW A SUNDAY TRYING TO CHANGE THE WORDS AND STYLE OF THE MUSIC TO MAKE ME FEEL A DIFFERENT WAY. THIS IS NOT THE RELIGION I WANT.I WILL NOT BE A HYPOCRITE. HOW CAN A PASTOR ALLOW THIS IS BEYOND ME. THE STAGE IS TO BE A HOLY PLACE AND THOSE PEOPLE ARE TO BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HOW CAN HE LET SOMEONE SING ABOUT A CHEATING WIFE/HUSBAND HONKEY TONK ON THE WKND AND SAY I GIVE YOU JESUS ON SUNDAY!! HELLO!!

God loves everybody, son. It doesn't matter whether you're on the dance floor, drunk in the ditch, on top of the witch, or kneeling and saying your prayers. God loves you and accepts you just as you are. Feel the warmth of his grace. God likes blues, jazz, rap, Neil Diamond, Merle Haggard, Stonewall Jackson, classical, rock, poetry, dance, and M&Ms. God loves familiar ways, new ways, and highways. You can't go wrong with God; he loves you, son.
Yes I agree god loves us all. I did not say that. My reference was to the example the people are putting off. Dont play in the bars on the wknd and try to win a lost soul to the lord the following week. It aint gonna happen. This is why so many people dont go to church as it is, is because they see the lifestyle people live outside the church so we feel we as are good as they are, at least we are not pretending to be something we aren't

Seems you misunderestand. Lots of people see it the same way...oh no, I can't go to church UNTIL I get my life right. Oh no, thats the wrong way to think..........I go to church (being the UNRIGHTEOUS person that I am) so that the Lord can reach me and hopefully as I grow, will change me to do away with those bad things in my life. I'm not a hypocrite as you portrayed someone to be..........I will tell you outright in or out of church that I am a sinner! Thats who God wants in church. If a person were righteous then God has made him that way. Let the unrighteous keep coming to church!

I never attended regular, but I am not going at all now, as there is a lot of probllems in the church. The Pastor dosent have a good track record first of all, now he has set down some follks that he persuaded to leave his previous church, as he doesnt need them anymore! I heard he may be leaving and going back to OK., as his way off thinking is he will be the next Rod Parlsy and travel and preach all over. Who knows place is in a chaotic, and a one man show! Dont know where to go now! No church is perfect I know, but something just is not right there, you can feel it!That being said there is a lot of very good people that he will hurt when this chicken flys the coop!

I don't know about everyone on here, talking about The Bridge, but I know I won't go there because the music is so loud, it will vibrate my ear drums and give me headaches. That is why I go Kennett 1st United Pentecostal Church. The music is not loud, it is soothing to my ears and everyone is loving. I love it there!!!

I visited The Bridge and I too did not come away with a good feeling. There are a lot of wonderful and decent people who are members there but I also think they are being blind sided with the pastor.
Only time will tell. I think though no matter what happens there, God will prevail and He will be there if the need arises for the people of the church.

Thought I might weigh in on this. I know the pastor at The Bridge. My take is, he is a very nice man. Have only heard him preach at a couple of funerals and he did an excellent job.
I am not a holy roller, but have friends who are. Different strokes for different folks. There is an excellent song that sums up how we should approach the different ways people worship called "Undivided". The lyrics are as follows:
In our hearts we're undivided
Worshipping one Saviour, one Lord
In our hearts we're undivided
Worshipping one Saviour, one Lord
Bound by His Spirit
Forevermore
Undivided,
Undivided
We may worship different ways
We may praise him and yet spend
All of our days living life divided
But when we seek him with open hearts
He removes the walls we built
That keep us apart
We trust him to unite us
It doesn’t matter if we agree
All he asks is that we serve him faithfully
And love as he first loved us
He made us in his image
And in his eyes we are all the same
And though our methods they may be different
Jesus is the bond that will remain
excellent!

You have to be vigilant nowadays with all these new, start-up churches. Is it a church for heatherns and misfits? Is the Gospel practiced and preached? Is the church cultish? Does the church not turn away drifters and vagrants?

If you answered 'yes' to all questions, congratulations, you'll make a good Christian.

Can anyone give me some insight into this Church? I'm considering attending but would like to know the backgound, beliefs, etc.
Me and my Family have attended this church often, and alot of the people that attend are people that we know and people that we have attended church with in the past... they are all good hearted people and will help u in many ways... My opinion is give them a try attend one service and i can promise you will not feel like a guest at all you will be welcomed with open arms and immediately feel like part of a family!! The pastor is great and so are the teachers for the childrens church and kids classes and if you have children they will love it to!

I have been to the Church, and the Pastor is a fine man with nice family.
It is those who start writing nasty little things like this at this time of the year that we know Satan is alive and trying to stir up trouble. Most of us Christians will stand by our Churches no matter what denomination or nondenomination. God Bless everyone !

"Where two or more are gathered in my name"

Must witness I have been more moved by the Gospel teaching under a willow on a Mississippi river bluff, than in a fancy air conditioned church.

I can still hear the Evangelist shouting, "There's a war going on inside of every human heart, the war between good and evil!" "Only the Gospel taught can direct your soul toward the righteous path!"

Do I hear an AMEN out there?

If going to church makes you feel good, then by all means, go to church. But if you have half a brain, you must realize that if god exists, he/she/it doesn't give a rat's ass about humanity.

The Bridge, like all churches, has its ups and downs. They started by busting up another church in Senath, Missouri. wanted to change a lot of things I think, anyway, he just left one day and took a lot of the people with him, and that is what you call preacher religion. something similar happend at another church recently that i know. but, anywway, a church is usually judged by the peoople in it. The example that is set, partying the night before (and you know what i mean), using foul language (which I can't imagine our Lord doing). then showing up and putting on another face on Sunday. that's what's wrong with our churches and the examples. we all need an overhaul if you ask me. Our church is steady most of the time but we still have our "inside" problems, same examples in our chrch to, not good for the people who are looking to find a place to worship, most people show up to be seen and becacuse its the right thing to do, but what their lives. that tells a good story.

first of all we are a nondenomination church, yes we believe in the father, the son, and the holy ghost. he didn't bust the church up in senath, they were trying to tell him how to preach, so he felt the need to step down. at this point he didn't know what to do. his mom was dying from cancer and her last words to him were "make it happen in mo", so that's why he opened a nondenomination church and yea some ppl followed him including me to the bridge, we werent following man, we were following the annoiting. someone said you felt something weird, honey that was the spirit of the lord! so if you are looking for religon don't come to the bridge, because we are not religous, we are christians!! yea i knew the devil would make some ppl blind sided and give ya'll thoughts and start rumors about the bridge and our pastor because GOD is doing great things there and the devil doesn't like it and btw we are NOT a cult!!! services start sun morn @ 10:00am, sun night @ 5:01pm, and wed night @ 7:00pm...we would love to see ya'll there, and we are come as you are kind of church and we love reaching out into the commmunity and helping ppl who are in need...GOD BLESS!!:)

<quoted text>Sure let's a follow the devil himself ! Your leader is a fraud and a fake. He is not a good man. He is also on the Senath school board and lately the new hires are from the bridge. He vote to hire a girl to teach Spanish that is not capable of teaching it, she can't even speak it ! Another from his church was hired to teach the learning disabled, she isn't certified and has only been teaching a year. He needs to keep church and state separate , and he isn't the only board member that attends that church. The one hired to teach Spanish her father is on the board as well ! I have never attended any church that vermin has preached at and never will. Now save all the I will pray for you crap, all the may GOD forgive me crap. I do not need it. Not where that fake is concerned. Lets not even talk about all the under 13 kids at your church that are dating! WOW!!!! 11 and 12 year old's dating. I do not mean meeting at church, I mean going places and to each others homes !!! Yeah that is a great message to put out there. Welcome to the Bridge where we will get you a good job whether you are qualified or not, we have plenty of youth here come pick one out the younger the better!
WAKE UP PEOPLE !!! And we won't even get into what shame he left his other church in, and several followed him there. But many did not. Who is to say it wont happen to you all. I will not say I told you so when it does happen , you will know it.
If there are 11 and 12 year olds dating, that wouldn't have anything to do with the pastor of the church, that is the parents choice. Also, depending on the job applicants in the school district, perhaps those who got the positions were better qualified or conducted a better interview than the other applicants. It sounds as if you have something personal against the pastor of that church. Maybe if not you then one of your friends or family members attended his previous church? Or you or one of your family members or friends didn't like the outcome of something the school board voted on? Just sayin it sounds like you have a personal vendetta against the man. Either way, it is Biblical that you do not go against a man of God, so I would be careful if I were you whether you think he is a man of God or not, I sure wouldn't want to take that chance.

Been there, what I was told was a move of the Lord was a bunch of rock and roll style music, and people waiting to be touched by him then just fall over in the floor, and the man playing one of the insturments and singing I saw at a bar a few weeks earlier playing and singing. So needless to say I left a little confused, thinking I needed to change my ways and then I see this, I just do not know anymore! I was always taught when you make a change in your life you quit going to those old places and change your way of life, but that is not what I saw, and I figured anyone close to God would not allow those type of things. Anyway I have not give up searching for God just looking other places than there! I have nothing against anyone there I was just confused thats all!
I know of whom you speak, and I know that he is just trying to make a living for his family. If all he is doing is playing and singing then what is he hurting. People work in Walmart and they sell alcohol as well as other things there, but they are not condemned for where they work.
I am not trying to make you feel bad for feeling confused, I am just trying to make a point. The man is just doing the best he can using what he knows best (singing and playing) to help his family get through the tough times. Whether it be that church or another, keep looking, you will know when you find the one!
