I have already been limiting my calories and fat intake. I have lost about 4lbs so far. I mostly watch my calories though not so much my fat. Do you think Alli would still be a help?

I know all of the nasty side effects associated with this pill. But I would love to hear some actual success stories if anyone has one.
I have spoken to two doctors about this and they said, taken correctly, it can work without any of the horrible side effects. They said anyone that suffered from the side effects, took it and thought they could eat whatever they wanted, then the pill would eat the fat away.
They both said if you take the pill and follow the instructions, like eating low-fat foods, you could lose twice the weight, than if not taking the pill at all.
PLEASE - if you've taken this, and lost weight, give a brief story to get me motivated!! I would love to try this, but I have yet to hear of anyone actually using it and having success!!
Thank you in advance!!
Hi,

I have been on this pill since January. I have lost a total of 19lbs up to date, and I plan on losing 10 more. This pill is "awesome". If you stay away from food high in fat, you should be fine. I can't give this pill enough praise, all I can say is that "it works". Try it, you will like it. Nothing I have ever tried in my lifetime has worked as good as this pill. WOW !!

You know it's half-strength of the prescription version of it, right? Do you think it would hurt anyone to take 2 at a time instead of 1? It might make you poop even more, huh?

That is exactly what I was wondering!

My friend takes Xenical (which is the EXACT same thing - Orlistat, but not OTC), and it's double the dosage.

She's lost 22 lbs since end of January, by the way. Says she has none of the side effects, but has NEVER eaten anything high-fat, because she's afraid of the effects.

I've been taking Alli for the last month and have already shed twenty lbs. Unlike most other weight loss pills Alli will let you know what you can get away with and what you can't- those being the negative side effects. I'm singing the praises of this pill namely because its been the first pill I've taken that has MADE me stick to my diet out of a base fear of negative side effects- plus the quick results and rapidly decreasing numbers on the scale are intense motivation to keep up the good work.^_^

GOOD LUCK!

I have been on alli for about six weeks now. I also have not had any major side effects from the pill. Not to sound gross but the only bad thing I have noticed if you do eat a little more fat.. there is more fat in your stool. But other than that I think this pill is great. I have lost over eighty pounds in the past few years and I am using this to lose my last twenty. Pretty simple.. No fried stuff.. eat low fat and you should be on your way to weight loss :)

i also heard lots of horror stories about alli, i am a mother of a 16 month old and have been struggling to loose the last 20 pounds, i exercise on a daily basis but only lost about 3 pounds, i was stuck on 160 lbs!
I started taking Alli last week, and i already i'm impressed! i surely do not mind pooping oil, if anything,it makes me feel better, those were gonna be pounds! I haven't lost control of my bowels and i have lost 4 lbs already, my tummy looks flatter and i just feel great. I have learned not to listen to people, the trick is to try for yourself and see what you feel. People have issues that probably have nothing to do with you. Try it!

I have taken alli for not a long time.
I know this is a nice forum with success stories..
but..
I had a bagel with cream cheese (scraped to the max) and jelly..
The Bagel was 2g fat and the jelly was none and the cream cheese was 9g. Coming to 11g. Within the limit..
Well today..
got some nasty green oily discharge...

My advice...don't take this pill at all..
unless you don't mind the oily discharge..

I have nearly cut everything bad out of my diet. I have tried weight watchers and I am active- nothing is working. I am the heaviest I have ever been at 193 and have at least 30 pounds to loose. I have to do something, none of my clothes fit and I refuse to buy new ones.

So today I bought ALLI. I am going to start it tomorrow, I took the day off work because I am nervous about the "oily discharge". Any advice?

Your post made me laugh when you said that you took the day off to start taking Alli. My girlfriend feels the same way. She wants to start taking Alli. I told her to start taking the product on her day off just to see what happens. I started taking the product last week, and the first day I didn’t really see much oily discharge. I bought Alli on a Wednesday and Friday night I was over my parent’s house and I had some pizza it took about 20 minutes and I was running to the bathroom. If you eat foods that have lots of fat then this is what happens. Just watch what you eat and you should be fine.I have not weighed myself yet. I am waiting until I go to the doctor in a few weeks to see if I have lost any weight or not.

Loving Alli so far (two weeks in). I've had no treatment effects beyond a bit of gas the first two days. And yes, the fear of accidents keeps me very vigilant.:)

I was having a difficult time losing weight since I passed forty, in spite of maintaining a decent diet and exercising (elliptical, walking and weights.)

Alli has gotten my numbers going DOWN again, which is something I was beginning to despair would ever happen again. I've lost six pounds in fifteen days. For me, that is a phenomenal rate of weight loss. Even better, my energy levels are great.

I have been on it for a week, i had an accident on Saturday, and it was exactly what they said it would be. It looked like chicken wing grease.

I feel a ton better and have been extremely careful, it's like the pill they give alcoholics to ensure that they do not drink, it makes them violently ill if they have alcohol.

So, if you eat fatty foods, be prepared to face the consequences.
