Support for a young woman facing prison time for cutting in line at a Walmart is growing.

I think it is shoddy journalism when the facts of the case are FALSIFIED and many blogs and websites are claiming that Heather Ellis was arrested for cutting in line at a Walmart.
She wasn't arrested for cutting in line.
She was arrested for assaulting a police officer and it's not RACISM if you are handcuffed after assaulting an officer.

How can you say what is on the video since it has been witheld from the public at the request of Ellis's attorney? Now when that happens it tends to indicate that the defendant has something they don't want the public to see which in turn indicates that said defendant is guilty as charged. You are the one full of BS....

time after time your news reports say that the woman may get 15 years in prison for breaking line at wal-mart. This is deceptive reporting at best and an outright lie at worst. it is in any case poor taste and race-baiting and needs to stop.

I think this whole case has gotten out of hand. Organizations on both sides of this is making an explosive issue out of something that should be a simple case of assualt. But even that doesn't deserve a possible 15 year sentence. This woman should have known better than to cut in line in front of others. She was wrong to do that, and it wouldn't matter what color she is, it is still not a smart thing to do. It has just given all the news hounds something to grab on to and a chance to play the race card. It isn't always about race, it started out being an issue of this woman doing a big no-no and it escalated (with her next combative behavior) into a situation that could have been totally avoided. Had she stayed in line like others, she would have left the store and this could have been avoided. Had she been white, it could have been the same thing. Not everything is about race, sometimes it is just stupid decisions and the people who strive on getting their face before a tv camera getting everyone riled into a bitter fight and blowing a small situation out of proportion. She still shouldn't be facing a 15 yr sentence regardless, that isn't always the case when someone has been murdered. This sentencing is only making a dumb situation even worse. There will always be people like Al Sharpton who like to hear themselves talk and see themselves on tv, and they don't care one iota about the person involved in the situation.

She started it (blowing this whole thing out of proportion). Crying racism because she got in trouble. I'm sorry, but just because of your race - you don't get an exemption from the law. When blacks are arrested they say it is race motivated. GET A LIFE. Cops do not arrest to arrest (too much paperwork). If she was arrested she must have deserved it.
