I hope he has enough donuts. I have never even tried Causbie's donuts. They are always out when I stop by.

So glad to hear about the new bakery! And the bakery is not the only new business going in around the square! A new restaraunt (Sissy's) is going in across from the courthouse and a new gift-flower shop (Deb's Little gift Shop) and a new photography business (Mitchell Photography Studio) are both opening in late November and early December behind the Kennett Library on Main Street.

I only hope their Politics don't hurt their business. It was strange to see them get involved in local politics before actually getting to know the people involved or get open for business.

i have read a lot about the new bakery coming to the square. I think the new businesses coming are going to be great for that area. I am looking foward to trying their pasteries. I havent been to Causbies in a while, have things really changed that much since their son has taken over.

OMG ... that is exactly what is wrong w/ this town and this country. Too many ppl judging folks for their choice in who they like and don't like when it comes to politics. We live in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, if you have forgotten. We have FREEDOM of speech. We shouldn't be ridiculed for who we like when it come to politics...get over it!! With an attitude like that, the business will probably be better off w/out your darkening their door, because I am sure there will be something for you to complain about!

it is a shame, I too do not go into businesses that promote or endorse any one person that is not respectable.

I would KILL to know how to make the white cookies w/chocolate chips!! It's sad to know that I may not be able to get them when I come home (when Causbie's goes out). If anyone has the "secret recipe", I would appreciate it. My kids LOVE those!
My mother worked for the Causbies for many years. Mr. C gave her most of his secret recipes. Her chocolate chip, peanut butter and the ice box cookies (which are what you are referring to) taste just like his. I know she would not give you the recipe but she may bake you some if you got in touch with her. She loves to bake! I won't leave her contact info on here but if you want to leave yours I would give it to her.

My husband and I are very excited to be bringing The Donut Shop of Piggott to your town. We are in the process of getting all our documentation from the state of Missouri that is required to run a business. We are also in the process of getting all of our equipment and store fixtures in place. We are very anxious to get open so that you can enjoy all that we have to offer. By the way our cinnamon rolls are to die for and so are our Apple Fritters. If you can't wait we are open in Piggott from 5-10, 6 days a week. We are closed on Sundays.
